Looking for a search script

I'm looking for a search script for one of my sites and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good solution? I've already searched G and on webmaster boards but couldn't find any useful information.

I know of a directory script with search, is that what you are looking for?

I don't think that's what I'm looking for. What I would need is a search engine like G just for a website so my visitors can search the content for keywords, names, actually anything.

I've found the site http://searchtools.com/ and it's looks like there is a lot of useful information, but they list so many search tools that it gets confusing and difficult to find the right one. I was hoping someone might have any experiences with search tools and could give some pointers.

However, in the meantime my webmaster has done a nice job and created a working solution. But I'm still open to any suggestions. :)
