wordpress 3.4 has been released and when logging into my blogs I now see the familiar "click here to update now" link. Looks like this one will also need to update plugins and themes as well.
LMK how it goes with your updates!

Just when everyone finally got around to updating all of their blogs here comes another update!
Hi Luke I updated to 3.4 last night along with the theme update. I did a back up as a precaution but encountered no problems everything ran smoothly as you would expect
I did one upgrade, and it went fine. I don't use the themes that Wordpress provides, so I didn't upgrade those, but I suppose I should so if my theme breaks, there's a handy alternative.
Is WP safe to run a social network member site? Like a mini FaceBook?
Have any of you do it - without spam bots or hackers breaking in?
I updated one blog too, it went fine with no issues at all.
I installed my first WP tonight. It is cold and raining in Berlin.
Took 3 tries with some plugins that needed extra memory.
I could be wrong but I think Buddypress does this.Quote:

BuddyPress supposedly does, but I ditched it 3 days later, and went with something else.
So far, so good. A few plugins not working, but in due time, I'm sure it will pan out.
WP 3.4 update went through fine. Seems much quicker. It's just the nature of the program that you'll be updating plugins a lot, but avoiding updates is a very bad idea.
I finished my ~20 WP blog updates, all went fine. It took a while though as each one had 3 sets of updates (wp, plugins and themes).
