That is, if you do computer programming, writing scripts that use the LINUX date() function.

Today starts week #1 of 2015!!

I have a clever "accounting" script that I run to monitor receivables.

It isn't working today, because today is 2014, December... while the Week number is "1", not <=52.

I have two choices: write a bunch of "if"s to take into account when a week in Dec can actually be week #1 of the next year, OR...

Wait until Thursday!

Having survived the Harry Potter Marathon on ABC Family last weekend.

Too cold for me for the Fireworks here in Las Vegas.

350,000 Tourists, all of whom came "unprepared" for 35?F!

I'll be in bed by then anyway.

Got to rest up for the Twilight Marathon on ABC Family this coming weekend!

It is now January, and my script is very happy that it is Week #1 with the Month being January!!! As opposed to Week #1 in December!

All is fine and working again!

It's one of those things that happens for 3 of 365 days in the year, so all the IF statements in the world can't predict every twist and turn.
