What Makes You Promote A Sponsors Paysite?

I was just talking to someone on ICQ and they were telling me how they have a hard time finding sites to promote because of the criteria they use...

1) Regular updates
2) Preview images/trailers on the tour
3) Good selection of promo tools
4) Good color scheme / layout

Suprisingly enough, when i asked about how much they are getting paid and if that weighs on their decision to promote a site they said it didnt and that they were currently promoting a couple of sites that only pay $5 on a $10 monthly membership but that the rebills on those sites were 'amazing'.

I just wondered what criteria the rest of you folks used when deciding whether to promote a paysite?

a niche i perceive as something i can market
good pics/text on tour
good colors/layout
at least semi regular updates
enough content in the member area to keep members happy
minimal traffic leaks

at least 50% revshare or $25 no-console however in the past i have let that go lower and still made more money than with other sites in the same niche because the content and layout were good, text was solid - and if revshare, because updates were 4 times or more per month for a normal niche or 2 times or more per month for a really scarce niche.

we've often made more money with sites that pay less because they had more appeal to the surfesr.

:yeah: except for the mandatory updates of 4 a month for regular sites and 2 a month for niches, that's nice, but not at all mandatory for quality sites.

Pluses for a potential paysite sponsor:
sponsor pays as promised (so trusted 3rd party affiliate processing is a plus)
niche is one I can market well
tour is transparent, ie. actually shows the prospect what the site offers
few or no revenue leaks, unless PPS
PPS
if rev share, at least $10 commission per month and regular updates
softcore banners and FPA's
