Do you use Google Adwords?
I have a question about Google Adwords.
I am wondering what people have found to be more effective in terms of the actual ad. Do you think it is better to include pricing information -- if pricing is lower than average? Or do you think it is better not to include pricing and have the user find out about pricing after they get to a membership site?
For example:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Only $14.95/MO!
www.sitename.com
Other thoughts about what is effective on Google Adwords are welcome!

The answer is YES and NO.
You have so little space for words it's best to tarket it to keyworks like actors or titles. You can see through your referal logs what people are searching for.
In fact, if you look at the referal logs you will see what comes from searches via Yahoo (Overture) and Google (Adwords).
It really comes down to practice and seeing what others are using for the same type of searches.
It's pretty important to invest at least $50 a month for being on a very focused PPC (pay per click) system like Google.
I have some clients that spend over $20,000 a month but you have to commit to running any PPC like you do your site. The more you spend the more time you should devote to tweaking the keywords, the bid ($) for position, and the time of day/night you place your ads. It's a very dynamic process that could take you 10 hours a day to manage.
The more time you spend the more traffic you will get.
Try a week or three with searches with $ in them...and others with just actors or some type of erotic overtones.
With that said...it becomes VERY important to see what your ROC (return on Click) is running. You really need to track the results and see what % converts to sales. The best reporting with the best ROC with click fraud reporting is Urchin. They have some really cool products out there now and the best pricing I've seen starts at $25.00 a month for up to 25,000 page views per month and only $50 a month for up to 100,000 page views.
I have a good contact for Urchin that will work with adult companies if you need a referal. Just let me know.
But it really comes down to developing a marketing plan based on...
1. SEO
2. Affiliates (yes..we still need them)
3. Offline or print ads (ROP)
4. Paid position on other sites
5. Cross marketing
6. Google / Overture / Findwhat (MIVA)
