Have You Ever Been To A Non-Adult Webmaster Convention?

I have been looking at a few of the non-adult conventions for the last hour or so and have to say DAMN they are pricey!

Some of them cost upwards of $500 for a basic entry level pass :eek:

Given that we are going to start doing some work in 'mainstream' i was interested in finding out if firstly, anyone has been to a non adult webmaster how and secondly, if you did, was it of any benefit to your business?

I have been to Comdex and E3 and alot of high tech shows when I used to do high tech PR .. They were good but we never got as much done as I do at Internext and of course the people are nicer in Porn..

i heard adtech is the best mainstream convention to go too... there's one coming up, at the end of the month...

for a while i was going to almost every mainstream and adult show. back when i was single and could be out of town two weeks out of the month.
ad-tech is a good show, used to go to both the SF and NY versions, used to go to all of the Clickz shows and Jupiter forums as well. Internet World is amazing, a lot to take in. Everyone should check it out once if they have the opportunity.

How about the mainstream SEO type conventioned has anyone attended any of those?

i haven't but spoke to a couple of people who attended the last NY show, and said it was a waste of time and money.
