Suggestions Wanted for Eastern and Southern Europe (Outside of Schengen)

I am looking for travel opportunities outside of the Schengen Zone, in Eastern and Southern Europe. Safe areas. Prefer 90-day Tourist stays for American Passport holders.

I have looked at Bucharest, Kiev, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Istanbul.

Would like feedback on these, and big cities or Capitol cities I have not thought of...

SPB looks interesting, but it is only 30 days for Americans!
