This might be a dumb question but.......

i just got my blog up and running from my designer. (thanks luke for the referrel for kreig! i love him!!!) unfortunately he is out of town and i don't want to waste time over the weekend waiting for him to get back and tell me how to make some changes.

so, can somebody tell me how to change the "Friendly Sites" list and their links on the left sidebar. i have been searching for an hour and can't figure it out. i want to start linking up with some of you guys!!

any comments or suggestions on the site would be great also. thanks very much!!!

Well a lot of it comes down to how the site has been designed. If your designer has stuck with default wordpress functionality, then you should be able to change the links in the widget on your admin panel by clicking Links > Links

thanks for the help. i didn't help much. it seems to be hardcoded somewhere. i guess i will just have to wait till he gets back. thanks anyway!

Have to say I'm loving the design too!
Only thing I would change is the posting. More images I think. It just looks a little sparse in the middle there with video embeds.
But that's a personal opinion.

I think it's mainly because the video embeds and images in the posts that are visible simply allow for a whole lot of black space.
You've gone the right way with original text, but personally I would go for a little text at the top of a post to lead in, then one image to fit the width of the posting space, then some more text, and then images or video.
It's hard to explain, but I just think there's a lot of empty black space there and the posts seem a little lost in comparison to the side bars.

When I first viewed it I was actually a little confused for a few seconds, not sure whether it was a blog or not.

Am I making sense? It's really late here and I should be in bed by now so I don't think my brain is firing on all cylinders! lol

If you can log into your WP admin panel, find the "Appearance" menu on the left hand (as long as no editing's been done to the admin "look") and find "Editor".

You'll then see a list of templates that can be edited - and your "Friendly Sites" listing is either hardcoded into the main page template or as a sidebar (left-sidebar or sidebar2) or something like that...

That's how I'd do it anyhoo...
