i've had it with those russians

so this guy submits a site.
and i check it, the galleries, then i click on a link at the bottom to be taken to another site with bunches of galleries. when i close the window another one opens up to a Top List.
And it reads - young boys and younger, young boys in puberty and before and so on

so i decline it saying it links to **** top list. he emails back acting like he has no idea what i'm talking about. nevermind the popup hell of toplists that opened with similar descriptions of old dads violating their young son.

You know what the scary thing is about that...

Most individuals who could be considered as cheaters etc actually do not realize what they are doing is bad / wrong because nobody has told them any different.

One thing i have noticed over the past few years specifically when it comes to non-us based webmasters is that for whatever reason it may be, they wont go to a board and actually ask for help or advice but they would rather do things their own way.. or, do things the way others in their social circles do :(

i don't know. maybe you're right. but they also push the envelope - look at the incest sites

over there I've seen 16 year olds pimping themselves as escorts. 16 year olds post their pictures, naked ones, on profile sites with no problem.

hell my cousin in Bulgaria was 14 and she dated an 18 year old boy, had sex with him and my mom and her mom knew about it and it's all right.

I don't know, it's just frustrating having to deal with it, I'd think with the Internet these people would at least have some idea, if they're ignorant of course and not just pushing the lid

I have to agree that Russian (and any from countries that end in 'Stan) seem to have themselves tied up in a disproportionate amount of dodgy, borderline and straight our scamming and illegal practices.

Our experiences have led us to pretty much exclude ANY from those reqions from doing business with us, except those we know or have good references for.

Lee - I do not think this can be explained away in 95% as a lack of communication or understanding.

They have another God awful habit of playing the "no-understand" card if you approach them about things, but suddenly grow a vocabularly when they don't listen or respond, you cancel their account and they are chasing their check!!

TOO many coincidences, WAY too often IMHO.

seems like most of the cheaters i have dealt with have an endless well of rationalization. some who claimed they "didn't know" were off on webmaster boards proving they did.

it really pisses me off - i used to have a pic post back in the day, and every day forever this jerk would post cp. i wrote to him the first time, and he played dumb. i reported his sites anyway.

you know, some things about working on the web are really wonderful - but things like this are truly horrible in every way!!

I don't think Lee was going that high on the percentage LOL but you'd be surprised at how many webmasters this does effect. We also run European Webmasters and, like here, answer a lot of emails and talk to webmasters.

From the US to Russia, we have had a surprising number of people who have had cp meta tags, stolen site designs, pics of guys 16, 'public domain pic', illegal links, etc etc etc. When called on the carpet by us, they're is a similar story... a group of friends who all do it and said 'don't worry about it'. Now this may sound like a cop out, but there are a few of THESE webmaster here on GWW. They really didn't know it was wrong until we told them and showed them. Now they're successful, legal and legit ;)



jIgG, the sad thing is some of these webmaster aren't going to change. Reject them and ignore them. As frustrating as it is, just enjoy the fact that YOU control the reject link LOL

Hiya Gary-Alan,

What I was actually trying to say to Lee (he didn't name a figure), was bascially 95% of instances their lack of understanding is 100% bullshit. And I was being specific to Russian and 'Stan webmasters.

I too have many European, Asian, and 3 of 5 Russians that I trust (who still live there that is) doing stuff with us, and as anyone with international dealings knows - they actually understand HEAPS more than they let on MOST of the time.

I'm sure you guys find that as well.
