What Is A Dialer Link?

What does dialer link mean, and when/where would I want to use one?

I don't know. The only thing that comes to mind is the old school dialers where somebody would call a number and get access to the site for as long as they stayed on the line. Alternative phone billing.

Jesse, I think you are spot on. Its old-school, and its what companies used to use to charge poorer (non credit card carrying) countries, by forcing them to use their 56K modem to dial into a porn site.

But these days pretty much everyone has some sort of broadband connection, even if it is an extremely slow one...so no more modems means no more need for dialers. Plus billers who used to use dialers have moved on years ago to use other phone billing methods (like GXBill) to capture those markets without credit cards.
