    Hi Macho 411

The rate at which Google spiders you depends on factors like your site's page rank, as well the number of pages in your domain. It may only spider you once a month if you are a newer, smaller site. On the other hand, if you have a high PR with lots of pages, it will visit more frequently.

also google is kicking sites for over-optimisation, so if you have too much repeaded key words you will get penalized. The trend seems to have moved very much to relevant inbound links.

Great! Because people with highly ranked sites are just DYING to give you free traffic with relevant links from their sites!

I just don't get this whole SE thing?! I have a google adwords campaign and for 1 of my keyword combos, I get maybe 50-100 hits a day (from that particular combo). The ad usually falls between first and third for the sponsor ads. I recently noticed that I was getting hits from yahoo for the same keyword combo... well google doesn't run ads on yahoo, so the hits were coming from legitimate se listings.

Get this! It is #1 on yahoo for the combo, but I'm getting maybe 3 hits a day!? How the fuck can I get 50-100 hits a day for a paid spot on google and 2 or 3 hits a day for a #1 spot on yahoo? Sure, the text is a little more enticing for the paid spot, but I can't imagine that would make such a huge difference.

Hey ya never know. You can see how many people are clicking in from your Adwords ad in your stats - I think the referring url says something like adwords.google.com etc.etc. as opposed to clickthoughs from search.yahoo.com

Also - your Adwords ad is probably running on other search engines that you are not thinking about. And these other search engines might find your target market better then just some ol' yahoo searching on Yahoo.

For example, Adwords run on searches made through gay.com, and lots of other sites now. Add all that up, and you'll probably be getting more visability then from just the people seeing your top ranked listing on Yahoo.

I only keep two fairly small campaigns running on Adwords, both of which are for one of my non-adult websites. It's a nice program, but watch it carefully or the costs will become prohibitive.

My main site is spidered weekly and new content is indexed within about a week. Mind you, I don't run a regular porn site, I have a shitload of written content - descriptions and erotic stories - and I update my site two to three times a week.

A couple of months back, I launched a new twink site on a completely new domain, and it was spidered and indexed within ten days, and it had no other sites linking to it. So, Google is spidering often and more quickly these days.

However, I think, as some have mentioned, if you're updating your site regularly, then Google is used to finding new content and comes back looking for it.

In terms of over-optimization, it's not simply a factor of repeating a keyword too many times that gets you into trouble.

Simply repeating "big cock" ten times on a page isn't necessarily going to get you into trouble. However, if you have a text link "big cock" and it links to a page that's title "Big Cock" and there's "big cock" in the written content, the headers, and the ALT tags, then your page will probably be considered over optimized.

    Cheers,
    Dzinerbear

Isn't that the definition of a relative link? Now when did this type of seo become taboo?

    I'm soooooo confused!
