TGP For Dummies Like Me - Part 1

The more I read the Blogs of other luminaries around this place, the less I feel I have to offer (yeah right !). SO much good infomation from SO many people who REALLY know what they are talking about.

So I figure my intitial approach of throwing in some levity around this place in between the rare flashes of business brilliance I am known for is the way to keep KBlogging !!!

But before I get into that, let me share with you an article posted on my board by my good friend Ian (GayStoryman) of http://www.gaystoryman.com and http://www.gay-story.info fame ...

This is, of course reproduced with his permission - I started to write one similar because I loved what he had written (the best TGP article I have read in a LONG time), but it kept just looking more and more like a bad attempt at a pliagarised college term paper, so I figured "I'll just ask Ian if I can reproduce ad infinitum".. Ian said yes. Thank you Ian - now show him some love and get to his site !

Anyway, TGP'S FOR DUMMIES LIKE ME

Okay, so a long time ago when the Internet was really fun, a guy could toss up a bunch of photo’s on a page and people would come in droves to check em all out and even sign up to the sponsors you had listed there. Course that was also when operating systems weren’t numbered after the year of release or such. Things have changed big time since then, such as the advent of huge search engines and the need for speed and for rankings.

So, venturing into the dark hole of internet traffic there is this model, called TGPs that many people talk about but what exactly is it? Is it the alternative to doing your homework and getting your pages SEO and trading links with funny fellows in orange and black stripes or is there something more to it?

For starters, TGP refers simply to Thumbnail Gallery Post. It is a site that has a collection of links to various pages that have pictures (or as things are moving along, to movie clips now). Now, sounds simple right? Well it is but boy try making a buck off that and many will tell you ‘good luck’ and others will even tell you that it is not great way to spend a few hours a day either, that you’d have better luck trying to snag my black book.

But, (hey come on, you knew there was gonna be a but, didn’t ya?) that doesn’t necessarily have to be the case. To begin with, let’s be honest and say that nothing about the Adult Industry online is easy or a cake walk. It all requires research, work, and time as well as ingenuity. It also requires sifting thru a whole bunch of bullshit and opinions that are represented as facts. So let me be blunt, this shit works for me but that don’t mean it is going to work for you nor does it even mean that I know what the hell I am talking about. It simply means that this is one aspect of my own business model that pays off for me. Whether it will for you or not, well, that is something I won’t even hazard a guess at.

Let me be real clear too, this is merely my opinion, it is not 100% gospel according to me or anyone else. Others will have different results or different ways of going about this TGP stuff, and it does work for them too, so are they wrong or more right than me? Again… it comes down to this. Use what you feel comfortable with, try it and see if it works for you then tear it up and make it work for you, using your model.

Now before you start rushing off and buying yourself an auto submission program or a whole bunch of content, take a deep breath and think about this. Venturing into the TGP game is like any other part of the business. There are potential expenses that need to be met and if you can’t afford it, don’t go any further.

To begin with, submitting to a decent TGP will get you traffic, conversions are something we’ll cover later but prepare for the worst. What are you going to do if you get 1000’s of hits but no sales? Do you have the cash to pay the added bandwidth you just consumed for nothing in return? IF ‘yes’ then okay go ahead.

So maybe you like to do things on the cheap like me, but let me tell you that hosting your galleries on a free host won’t work. Most decent TGPs will not accept your galleries so yes Virginia you do need a good domain to use. It does need to be hosted and no it can’t be an IP address either. Again most TGPs won’t accept it.

Alright, so you got a good host (by the way if you are looking for one, check out the one’s listed in the ‘graffiti section’ here in the forums. There are some pretty good cheap plans listed there including Web Gems.) now you need to figure out what to put in your gallery pages.

To begin with if you use tired old content you really are wasting your time. The Surfer despite some opinions is not stupid. If they see something that they have seen a few thousand times odds are they will simply click to another link on the TGP site. So yes, like building your own site CONTENT IS KING!

Now most will use free stuff supplied from an affiliate or sponsor. That is cool but look for stuff that isn’t over used. Look for stuff that is different or unique from them or go to one of the content suppliers to find some ‘filler’ content that isn’t overly exposed either. ((check out the content sponsors in the spam section of this board)) Whatever it is, look for teaser pics and not hardcore stuff. (I’ll get to why a bit further on, so patience)

So now that you have a decent collection of content, what next? Well how about your page layout. Now here is where I am going to most likely get into trouble with some folks, cause you see to me this is where many TGP submitters fail. They don’t take into account the layout, they simply set up a basic 3 or 4 column table and slap in the thumbnails and toss in a banner down the side or on top or bottom. They don’t take into account the aesthetics.

Look, you are selling something, so put yourself in the position of the buyer. Would you really want to buy some expensive piece of jewellery for 'the apple of your eye' from a guy in a raincoat or would you prefer to shop from Tiffany’s? So why do you think a surfer will buy a membership to a site from a sleazy cheap looking web page that has nothing to it but some tossed in photo’s?

There are a couple of things you should know about TGP gallery pages.

    1. They don’t allow navigation links on it.
    2. They require a reciprocal link back to them plus generally to two or three other TGP sites. (hey they want traffic too, so expect this)
    3. They don’t allow certain words such as ‘next’ ‘home’ ‘more’ ‘gallery 2’ and so on. You get the idea. They aren’t too thrilled about losing that traffic or having it go much beyond your gallery page. (there is a way around this by the way, but again… later)
    4. No java or scripting
    5. No redirection codes
    6. Banned words are also a no no, and you know what I mean. Words that would imply under age etc.
    7. Maximum number of out going links. (Now this is tricky, some sites allow you one out going link per x number of photo’s while some simply say 4, 6, or 10 or whatever. So you have to make a choice before you design your page as to the number of out going links you will have. (out going links refers to links leaving your page) Some don’t even tell you, they just reject you if you have too many.)
    8. Alt Tag limits. Some actually do require NO alt tag so again, another decision you have to make before designing the page.
    9. Minimum pics. For most this is around 12 to 15 pics for now, 3 to 4 movie clips (but you’ll have to read their rules to find out more) (Oh, I don’t do movie TGPs just so you know and as such this whole tutorial is slanted towards yummy pictures only.)
    10. Thumbnails lead to the image and NOT to an HTML page or dynamic page.

There are some other rules but you can read most of them on their submission pages. AND DO READ THOSE RULES! Seriously, if you screw up at one TGP it can effect your ability to post in more than just that one place. It can get you turfed from tens or more TGPs as they do talk among themselves. They share ‘banned lists’ so again, READ THE RULES CAREFULLY. IF you are unsure if your site will meet their rules or is a risk to being banned, either pass on submitting to that TGP or EMAIL the webmaster. Most will actually answer you believe it or not. Yes, they do because you are important to them. They need fresh galleries so many will actually answer your questions. (I should qualify this in that I deal in the Gay Market and so am drawing on my experiences with Gay TGPs. I would assume Straight TGP webmasters would respond the same way, but heck, darned if I know.)

Now for me, I use a thumbnail set at 74 pixels wide and 100 pixels high. You can use your own scale size but that works for me. Also, try to not ‘over’ compress the images. If they look like shit, are distorted, then odds are you will get the rejection email or simply get a blank ‘bye bye’ page. There are many good compression programs out there, just as there are many good thumbnail programs. I myself use Infranview (for thumbnail & batch renaming of the images) which is a freebie and does quite nicely for me.

You are also going to need to get some added thumbnails together as many of the TGPs use an actual thumbnail to display. Why they don’t have a standard size is beyond me, but most use the following sizes…

    a. 88w by 88h
    b. 90w by 120h
    c. 100w by 100h
    d. 75w by 75h
    e. 120w by 160h
    f. 75w x 100h

Okay this is something you should spend some time on. This is your ‘ad’ that the surfer is going to see. If the TGP uses a thumbnail, you need to make it something that is going to attract the surfer’s eye. Again, I have found that no it isn’t some body feature that works best but the face itself. If the eyes are special or the nose or mouth I couldn’t tell you, but face shots seem to garner more traffic than a nice pair of legs does or (in my case) a nice schlong does. So choose the picture carefully that you are going to use for those special sized thumbs. Take time with them, insure they are crisp, clear and portray a decent feature of your model/image collection.

Bored yet? Hope not, cause this really isn’t about tossing up photo’s and making a killing. TGP is no different than setting up a site except in many ways it is more compact as it revolves around one page submissions with no viable links to your site.

So back to design. If you keep it simple you can do some cool things without really making a major production effort. For example, basic layout is a table with columns in it. But what if you say had a background image in each cell? Say a coloured triangle or circle so that the thumbnail rested in the centre but it looked like it was encased in a shape?

Taking your time here can give you a slight edge on the competition. Seriously, consider how you can make your page stand out from the rest. After all this is Marketing 101. Everyone sells the same mousetrap, you just need to package it differently. Colour is another feature not well used. Find colours that don’t GLARE or make the surfer put on sunglasses. That is going to simply drive them away.

Now text. Yep, text is something you can use but keep it simple and once again, I most likely will get screamed at for this, but SEO the blasted page too. In other words add an H1 tag with a supporting paragraph. Add an H2 tag with another supporting paragraph. Use a decent keyword phrase in your Title Tag too. Remember, Title Tags, H1 & H2 tags, are not just for SE (search engines) but for SELLING! Good advertising copy in these tags can make a difference. And while I can’t prove this 100% some TGPs don’t just mangle your URL either. I mean come on, if they have PR showing they have to be SE conscious too so some might flow to you. Why waste the opportunity?

Another reason for text is to entice, to sell the surfer. Now for me it is a bit easier to do, but seriously, simple little phrases can help push the surfer into becoming a customer. Use short words that will elicit a positive response. Remember, your goal is to get the surfer excited but not make them blow it then and there. For that you want them signing up or buying something… so TEASE THEM, which is one more reason to not use EXPLICIT images. You don’t want to GIVE IT AWAY.

Keep in mind that you have one page only to work with. So keep your text to under 200 words total. This will allow you to highlight the images and not overwhelm the surfer. In addition you need to be aware of page load times. Too long and they simply won’t stick around. They are there initially to browse at your goodies, if they can’t see em or see enough to make them look longer, you lose and have wasted valuable bandwidth.

Most HTML editors like Dreamweaver will tell you how long your page will load at various connection speeds. As much as many are moving to broadband there are still a great number using 28.8 and 56.6 connections. I’d recommend a page load at 56.6 connection at 10 to 15 seconds maximum. Now this has to include the recip banners, your thumbs, your sponsor banner, and all coding content. In short, the longer it takes to load, the greater the chance you’ll lose the surfer.

By the way did I mention that ToyBoy is buying drinks for everyone who reads this? Just don’t tell him, he doesn’t know yet. Okay, so feeling bit overwhelmed? Relax, it gets worse.

Now when you design the page, you have to also figure out where are you going to put those blasted recip links to the TGP and 2 or 3 others. Most prefer them right up at the top, so that pretty well answers that. Okay, sounds bit harsh of them but if you have a nice layout you should get them scrolling down because the TGP banners aren’t all that large… generally around 120wx60h so run them across the top of the page. Leave a small 2pixel cell spacing and personally I go with ZERO border for the look to match the main background colour of my page. Again, I use a total of THREE (3) Recips per page.

So, we have the recips on top, then comes your thumbnails and text. Mix it in so it doesn’t look standard. Again remember you need at least 12 to 15 thumbnails to qualify for acceptance.

So what about the affiliate/sponsor? Where do you throw their link? Banner?

Well I put one banner with a short keyword sentence at the bottom of the page. Now I tie in both the sentence and banner under ONE SINGLE ‘a href’ to the affiliate. That means it counts as only 1 outgoing link.

Sounds simple right? Well I differ a bit with many at this point. See, my main objective is to not just sell to one affiliate or sponsor. I want to grab as much of that surfer dollar as possible, so what I do is I lead the surfer to me. I make the main purpose of my TGP pages to link to my own website. In that website I have DVDs, Books, Paysites, VOD, etc. In short as much porn as possible where I can more easily sell them something instead of just ONE SINGLE UPSELL.

I use TWO outgoing links to achieve that end. I use a larger odd shaped graphic for my own upsell as well as text. Again I link the text with the image as one ‘a href’ link plus I generally throw in another separate ‘text link’ to my own site.

    Why do I do this?

    Traffic.

Without traffic no site will sell much. I want as much traffic as I can get to my own site and if I link directly to the sponsor or affiliate, well I might make a sale or two but I lose the traffic totally. If I designed my main site properly, and I send all my traffic to it, I might make more than one sale from each surfer. In addition, I get them to a ton more options where I stand a chance to make a sale rather than relying simply on 12 to 15 pictures to do it for me. In short, each TGP page becomes really a ‘feeder’ type site of its own.

Keeping in mind that TGPs don’t like scripts or ‘bookmark’ stuff and specific directing words, linking to my own main site I can entice the surfer to spend time with me, instead of just sending them off to a sponsor. It increases my options of what to sell as well. I can do a TGP page that say concentrates on my own books, or the next one can be about DVDs or perhaps about a sponsor, but whatever I choose for that page, it leads to my site.

Another note on your page. Please, don’t call it ‘gallery’ as it really should use a keyword phrase. I mean as much as most TGPs don’t hard link to you, some do and so why miss out? Make the page name valid for you.

Also I would put the page H1 tag above the recip banners. I mean let the spyders find your keywords first, not a bunch of images. Then use a short paragraph after the Recips and then the H2 tag to further enhance the keyword phrase.

TGP for Dummies Like Me - Part 2

    PART 2....

DO NOT PUT AN IMAGE IN A H1 or H2 tag. That serves NO purpose or help.

Look at the content on your gallery page. Select your keyword phrase that is RELEVENT to the content and use it in your TITLE TAG as well as in your H1 and H2 and support paragraphs. It does take longer doing it this way, but why limit your options? This is a business and it isn’t just about having fun, though it helps. You need to make money, so make each page a way to do that. Let each page support your business model and not detract from it. (my opinion anyhow)

Okay so we have it all done now, right? Boy have you been jumping over to chill session to see what latest culinary recipes are posted or what? Course we aren’t finished yet. There are still lots of things to get done before you wind up submitting the page and watch your money roll out in bandwidth fees.

The mechanics are done, yes but you still need to get a list together. I mean submitting one gallery page to three TGPs will not get the rent paid. You need to realize that to succeed (hey, this is really just my opinion, submit to one only if you think that will work but I rather doubt it but then I am blonde too.) you are going to need to submit to a whole bunch of TGPs.

So naturally, being the lazy type you would figure I am going to tell you to find an auto submitter that will do the pages for you. Well, yeah I suppose I will but I am also going to tell you that manual submissions can work better if you have enough selected TGPs that deliver decent traffic. Perhaps better isn’t right. What I mean to say is that really they work hand in hand. You need both in order to make this model work for you. Using just one is, well like trying to jerk off without having any inspiration. Isn’t very satisfying that way is it? This is the same. You need the whole package to make it work, least that is how I feel.

In fact, I do both. I submit using TGP Wizards to around 700 TGPs and I am certain that other auto programs submit to as many or more even. But I also submit manually to just under 200 specific targeted TGPs in my field. That means that first off I have to check the TGP recip list that comes with TGP Wizards to insure I don’t duplicate my submissions. Yes that is a lot of work, but hey, remember one single screw up and I wind up banned from maybe 20 or 30 other TGPs, so yes I check the recips to make sure no duplications between the auto submission and my manual list.

So where do I find those 200 other TGPs? Well if you take your time and submit slowly you will find many of the various TGPs will have a list of other TGPs that they partner with or recommend. So, you click on them, find their recip, save it to a directory along with a detailed list of the TGP name, the link to info, the submit page URL. This now brings us up to the next ‘back end’ requirement. Keeping track of these TGPs.

(( Remember, if you seriously want to play in the TGP game for serious traffic, you need to submit to more than one or two TGPs (my opinion anyhow) so you need to keep a decent record of them.))

[Another way is to simply surf and find TGPs, most will have other TGPs listed in the surfer traffic pages as well. Visit them, add them. Just don’t rely on auto submission lists only.]

I use Excel to do this in. I set up a workbook for this. When I am out surfing to find new TGPs to add I use a rough worksheet. I use the first column to place the TGP name, second column to place the main URL or page that the TGP wants to be linked to. Then I put the submit page URL in a third column.

For the 4th column I will put whether they use a ‘text’ link or if it is a ‘button’. ((I do this because I keep the ‘text link’ in a separate text file to use in my html, while the buttons are kept in a special folder on my hdd)) The 5th column of the worksheet is then for whether they accept only Partner Submissions or not. Generally I leave this blank if no partner account is required.

So when I go looking, I use the first worksheet to put in the raw data however I get to it. Later on I’ll copy the info to a second sheet and then sort it alphabetically for easier use. I then add a new column to this second sheet before the name. This is where I will number the TGP as to its ‘page’ location. For now let us just worry about the first sheet. I’ll come back to this further on.

As you might have noticed already, doing TGP submissions requires a great deal of work and set up. Least in my mind it does, however you can probably get by with not doing it this intensively, but then the amount of traffic you get and the conversions you make will be according to the degree of work you have done prior. It is a whole lot easier to get this set up shit out of the way so later on you can just concentrate on doing submissions.

The concept, least in my opinion, is that you don’t just submit one or two galleries. This is a constant process in order to maintain a steady flow of traffic. This means you need to be submitting new galleries on a steady constant schedule. Kind of hard to do if you have to keep stopping to re adjust your records. By setting it up fully at the start, you can better keep to a schedule of submissions and I have found that the more frequent you submit, the better your success rate at both acceptance and return is. It is easier to build up a rapport with the surfer too, because they see new stuff constantly from you, which gives them a better feel for you and your product which in turn creates a sense of trust which will lead to increased sales. This is a business axiom, and it does work even in TGPs. Least for me it has, while others may have different results.

Course all this assumes one important factor, that being you have decent product/material to offer. No amount of traffic will convert if your product/material is shit.

[ I suppose we should talk a bit about your content here. The quality of it and its presentation is what can make or break you in this particular field. If it is old well used stuff it isn’t going to convert into sales or traffic to your own site. It is simply going to cost you money. So for me, choose this carefully. Now if you have exclusive stuff then you are really set. BUT… you don’t want to give away the store either. You need to TEASE with whatever content you use and more so if it is exclusive because let us be honest, people are going to snag the pics if they like them. So if exclusive, WATERMARK THEM with the site URL or something as it becomes FREE ADVERTISING for you.

Now another failure is to use similar pics that all have a slight variation in the pose. They really need to be distinctively different even for a good tease shot. I mean having a pic with the shirt on the shoulder with one button open then the next with two then the third with three really isn’t a good idea.

You really do need to lay this all out in a sequence, which is why TEXT can help you lead the surfer towards a sign up link. It also plays a part in creating a feeling, a personality for the page and that helps makes sales too. It creates a sense of desire or need.

So take time in choosing your content! ]

Alright, now that you have spent some time surfing and gathering TGPs and the relevant information, you are saying to yourself ‘At last now I can get on with this’ but you will be wrong. Remember, I said you need to keep on doing this, submitting new stuff? Well how are you going to do that easily if you don’t find a way to organize all this TGP info?

My next step is to set up an html page in Dreamweaver.

Actually I set up TWO pages. One will contain tables that are three columns wide and one row. These tables will hold the RECIP BANNERS or TEXT LINKS.

The second page is identical except you can have lots of rows.

Page 1 is to give you the necessary HTML code for each set. This way you can easily adjust any gallery submission page if a particular TGP is not producing or no longer operating or you get tossed out. It happens, so you need a way to keep track of your pages and where each TGP is listed.

This is the HTML code for it (add "<" at beginning of each line and ">" at end):
    h1>Page 000
    table align="center" width="90%" border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2"
    tr
    td align="center" valign="top" width="33%"> td align="center" valign="top" width="33%"> td align="center" valign="top" width="34%"> /tr
    /table

As you can see, it is in (%) so the banners will fit properly without ruining the design layout. Now by having this all set out with the banners in place it is easy to transfer to a template where you have set up the proper space for this table. (this is why planning in advance helps save time later on. You can easily find which page has a particular TGP and either change the button to a new one, delete that TGP and replace it, or whatever. This ‘master page’ lets you find it all simply and easily.)

Just to keeps things clear, I replicate that table structure thru the entire page as often as needed. If you have 33 TGPs then obviously you will need to set up 11 tables.. 66 TGPs will need 22 and so on.

Also if you use CSS to style your pages, make sure this page also has that same CSS style so you can insure that the text links show up properly and aren’t hidden by your page background colour.

As you put in the TGP banner/text you also note the number. Place that number in your Excel sheet so you have an easy reference just in case you lose this banner page. Also don’t forget to actually put in the hypertext link to the TGPs page that they require you to link to. This way you can easily replicate the structure on your submission pages, no matter how many you make.

Now the next page is the same but with one slight difference. To begin with you don’t need any text/banners from the TGP. Simply place the TGP name or identifying name.

(add "<" at beginning of each line and ">" at end)

    table align="center" width="90%" border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2"
    tr
    td align="center" valign="top" width="250"
    h1>Page 001 p>TGP Jane p>TGP Julie p>TGP Kevin’s Girls /td
    /tr
    tr
    td align="center" valign="top" width="250"
    h1>Page 002 p>TGP Erin p>TGP Beckie’s Beauties p>TGP Donut Girl Specials /td
    /tr
    /table

Now what you do on this page is link the TGP name to their submission page. This way you can pull up the page from Dreamweaver and click on it in order to submit the pages. The page tells you what page number you need to use in your submission and it will help make the manual submission go a whole lot faster. No need to look it up, to see what TGP is on what page, nada… just click enter and go on to the next.

(Tip > if you use Firefox this can go even faster. Simply open each link in a new tab as you go along. This allows you to move thru the submissions faster.)

(Another Tip > By using Firefox, I also open up the actual web page to insure that I am submitting to the right TGP. So in the first tab I have my HTML page listing all the TGPs and their submission page links, next tab is the actual web page which I keep changing as I move thru submitting. Finally the next tab is the actual submission page.)

Anyone still reading this by the way? Sure hope so, cause I hear ToyBoy is springing for pizza to go with the beer. Personally I am hoping Tim will send over two or three of those hotties now at Teen Boy Models.

Alright, now we are set to start off on the submission journey so are your bags packed? Tickets in hand?

There are a few things that you should check though. To begin with, make sure you have all the pics linked on your gallery page. (sounds basic but how often have you gone to find the pics lead nowhere? So take a few minutes and CHECK YOUR LINKS) What I do is set up a test page first. This can be the first submission page too. I go thru it to make sure all links work, that all thumbnails link to a full image and that the image shows up. I check the link to the sponsor and I check the links to each of the three TGPs I have at top. I also check the link to my own site.

[Note] Personally I use a different domain all together for TGP work. This allows me a better control over expenses and tracking. It also avoids confusion as to what traffic is coming from where. As domains are cheap (I pay $6 a year from ICANN registered 1and1) it is really not much of an expense. In many ways this ‘free site’ is just one more way to drive traffic thru to the MAIN WEB SITE. I don’t have all the stuff I would but instead use selling pages to direct the surfer to the various sections of my free site, plus I include some added material, like links to the different TGP gallery pages I have done, links to some additional galleries. All part of the plan to secure their interest and to entice them further into my own web of porn.

[Tip] The purpose here is really two fold. It affords me a way to direct traffic to pages within my main site for SE advantages. Second it helps to provide back links as well. Just one more cheap way to promote your own business. OH and yes Virginia is does have a separate IP address.

One other small note to make here. If you do use a clean domain for this, I’d strongly suggest you also include a blank page… one that has no TGP recips on it. Use this to link to from your main directory page so that surfers who come to the site can still view the gallery and I suppose if you wanted to, you could add a navigation bar but I don’t. Remember, the link to my site? That is all the navigation that is really needed.

TGPs For Dummies Like Me - Part 3

    PART 3

Also, if you are using content from different sponsors, I’d put up a 2257 info page that allows you to be compliant. On your gallery pages, I’d not put a link on it, but I would put a text disclaimer, simply stating that site is 2257 compliant, that all models shown were at least 18 at time of photograph. The specific 2257 page is worth having as some TGPs are now asking for that link in their submission section. So, better to be prepared than not.

    Example

    This Site is 2257 Compliant
All Models Where 18 years or Older at time of Photograph.

One other step before you go off submitting the gallery pages. Okay maybe more than one, we’ll see.

Get yourself a description line for the gallery. In fact I’d make more than one description line to use. Go with a real short one, say under 25 characters total, then another around 35 characters, and a third that is more than 35 but less than 60. The reason is that when you submit your gallery, they want a text description.

So couple of things to keep in mind here. DO NOT put the number of pics in your description. Most TGPs have a special spot for that. (in other words don’t put… 15 sexy cheer leaders) Try to make the description fit the model poses or theme if at all possible. This will help to draw in a more specific surfer. I mean lets face it, if the surfer is looking for big boobs and you claim it but have a model with tiny hooters, well they aren’t going to be in the mood to click thru to your site or to the sponsor now are they? So make it honest. If the model is Mexican don’t go labelling it as Asian.

This also is true about the text you use within the pages. I mean don’t make it sound dumb or idiotic. Be funny if you can, but above all else be sexy with the terms and phrasing. Remember, the goal is to entice not get the surfer off, just HARD & AROUSED.

Once more, THIS IS MERELY MY OPINION & IT WORKS FOR ME. THAT DOESN’T MEAN IT WILL WORK FOR YOU.

Also, you want to get set up at least 5 galleries first before you go submitting just even one. Why? Simple because then you have sufficient galleries to submit for partner accounts.

Also directory structure is something we should touch on here. It can be confusing otherwise but I place all my thumbs in a specific folder, with an index page so it can’t be accessed. I then put the full images in the same folder as the gallery pages for that content. I use a folder called ‘models’ which has sub folders like say ‘andy’ ‘kevin’ etc. In the sub folders I have the full sized images and the numerous TGP pages, named andy-01, andy-02, etc. This makes it simple and easy to find. I also use the index page in the main folder ‘models’ to have links to the ‘clean’ html page of each gallery. As I add more galleries, I simply update this page. I link to this page from my site directory and other pages on the site.

The thumb folder is usually something like ‘model-thumbs’ and I have the sub folders in it that correspond to the main gallery sub folders. This allows me to insure that I don’t mix up thumbs with full images or put Kevin’s pics in with Andy, after all they are rivals…

Many TGPs will give you partner status if you have something to show them. They aren’t really interested in partners who post once every month or such, they want fresh new stuff constantly, so they want to view your work. So get five at least ready so when you go submitting the first time around, you can also apply for partner status without waiting.

About submitting. Some in this field like to submit 3 to 5 galleries to each TGP each day. Now that works for them, but I have a different take on that. I want to milk the traffic not saturate it. So I submit 1 gallery per day. This allows me to extend my submissions so that each day I get a new one on the list. If I submit 3 or any multiple galleries, well the ‘today’ list will have them and perhaps I’ll get more traffic that day but some of it will be from surfers who just don’t want to join but look and they have already looked at one and passed. So by submitting 1 gallery each day, I get 1 listed and spread it out. This also enables me to be available on the first pages each day so that surfers who come tomorrow will also see a gallery submitted even if they weren’t around yesterday. It maximizes my exposure to surfers, and that is what I want.

Again though, this works for me, not saying it is 100% right or that others are wrong. But you experiment, think about it too. I mean most of us aren’t a collection of people working in an office. We wear many hats so our time is valuable. I like to set up a whole whack of galleries so that I don’t have to make new ones every day. I take a day or two and do a whole bunch then I go each morning and do my submissions. When I am down to just a few left, I schedule time to make more.

REMEMBER that each NEW gallery HAS TO BE DIFFERENT. Some say you re submit the same gallery after X days but if it didn’t work the first time, why recycle it? The surfer isn’t that stupid. Many go back daily to these TGP sites for more, and you have to ask yourself, what is it they are looking for? If they aren’t finding it, it is your job to try and provide them with what they want, so you make some cash. Re submitting a failed gallery isn’t going to do that, now is it? (just my opinion though.)

There are a couple of other ways to go here. I mean instead of linking to your own main site, you could link to an AVS/AEN site as well. For example, say you have one AEN/AVS site for Model Tanya and another showcasing Model Harriet. So one gallery is for Tanya linking to that AVS/AEN while your next gallery is for Harriet so yeah it links to the AVS/AEN for Harriet.

You can also use the second self serving link to point to another of your sites, I mean for me I use one site but hey, that can change as I move along in my business model. So your options really are open but don’t make the mistake of trying to do all this at once. Take your time guys and gals, cause then you’ll have a solid footing, not having to go back and correct errors.

Okay I am done. If you have questions, ask away but uh, have a cup of coffee first and wake up. Hey, what can I say, I am long winded but then this is a rather large topic too. Oh and how was the pizza? Mine was bit cold and skimpy on the bacon but, hey they wanted extra and Burgo’s CC was close to being maxed out.
