I have viewed all the posts in regards to our Current Competition. Chilihost you may be right in saying that this is more of an Incentive program then an actual competition. The main reason of this Competition / Incentive Program is to build the level of high end traffic players to send traffic to CuriousCash. Last year we did not run any major promos, however over the 6 years we have been in operation we have run everything from points programs where you can buy your prize to a trip to Australia where all you had to do was signup to CuriousCash to get an entry in the draw. This year we have decided to focus our competition on the big players.

Now as for the profit you say we will turn on this Chilihost I think your Maths is a bit out. Let’s break it down.

2400 Joins at 34.95 = 82880
Now deduct processing which we will average at 12.5% as we use multiple processors at different rates = 73395
Now the Revshare payout for this is = 47706.75
And if Webmaster Referral also this needs to be paid to them = 7339.5
Now the cost of the trip = 12000 approx

So we make $6348.75 or $2.64 per monthly membership. To me I don’t feel that is being greedy.

Now I can also understand a lot of you see this as a non offer as you are unable to send this level of traffic and we like to reward you also. We have always tried to look after both ends of the market so in concert with this promotion we also reduced the levels on CuriousCash so you now only need to send 20 signups as opposed to the previous level of 50 signups to go up in the percentages for payout.

Thanks for your input, but lets all be positive and grow the Gay part of the industry together, to our collective benifits :thumbsup:

Firstly, apologies for my "tardiness" in being all over this like white on rice, but I have been away on a hard earned holiday with zero access to phones and net (the ONLY way I can really holiday).

The Great Barrier Reef sends you all it's regards.

This promo wqas aimed at a specific group of people, and it is not the only promo we are going to be running this year...

I should also say OUR promos are NOT always targeted specifically at GAY WEBMASTERS, we welcome and invite ALL WEBMASTERS and provide promos to suit.

It is NOT a competition, but is 100% above and beyond what someone would normally get for their traffic - IT IS A REWARD, NOT A COMPETITION WITH A PRIZE !

I should also point out that AT THE SAME TIME we have significantly dropped our qualifying levels for higher revshare - 5 joins a week now gets a webmaster 55% instead of 50% - we did have that at 50 joins per month.

We have also added 2500+ exclusive promo pics for the smaller webmaster to aid their promotions.

We also support all gay industry gatherings specifically at shows and such, and closely support a number of SMALL NEWBIE webmasters in helping them grow - I always my little pet projects to help people get their start and make the difference in this biz - just like I wish I had people like that when I was starting out.

We have had significant interest in this promo and it has been extremely well received by the industry as a whole...

Sure it is a targeted promo - LOTS of sponsors do things that they NEVER promote, we just decided to promote this. Shit, I went all expenses to Amsterdam for a few days partying recently on a similar deal.

Petty jealousys and bitchiness aside, we never expected the response we have had already, we expect to be having a great time in October.

And so what if everyone does not have 13 joins per day? For a long time in my webmaster life I did not, now I have lots more than that and it's always nice to see the sort of things that become available to oneself if they put in the hard yards for long enough.

Seems more of a case of tall poppies Luke, sorry mate, but I'll call YOU out on that one.

But if you want to keep your head in the sand and believe that there are NOT webmasters out there who WILL qualify (and easily in their terms) and that they may like some rewards that are more in sway with their traffic volumes than a PSP, IPod or Panda Bear, you really are kidding yourself.

But at the end of the day thanks - the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about !!
