I had a bag with all my stuff stolen....

I had such a depressing weekend - all I can think about is what needs to be cancelled and what I need reissued....

What a bummer - and I'm supposed to fly to Internext in Miami

Sorry to hear that. It is such a bitch to contact all the banks and credit card companies and getting ID reissued. I have been through that more than once.

Ohhhhh I hate when that happens.

Thank goodness I do not have many cards.
But I still hate having to call up the bank and
cancelling them and waiting to get them reissued.

Don't forget, if you need to travel without your
ATM and credit cards, you can go to your bank
and purchase Traveller's Checks. Many banks
will issue these to customers for free. These
are great because if they are stolen or lost,
they can usually be replaced quickly when
you are travelling.

So sorry to hear that. I remember when I was robbed at gunpoint, and it really was the worst feeling of my life....not just losing the stuff but also the feeling of being victimized.

Hang in there though, and be sure to file a police report. Chances aren't they won't find the bastard, but it's worth a try.

thanks. Now i'm thankful it wasn't anything as serious as that. I filed a report that same night, searched everywhere around my office building to see if someone just ditched the bag.
Oh well - let's hope karma pays him back
