    I ask my surfers to tell me what they think a lot of the time and it really helps, sometimes they suggest content..One guy has even suggested I make a new site with a certain theme.. it'd really sell (i just need the programming know how arrrrghh!!)..Plus if the surfers feel they know you they come back.

    I remember growing up and loving sites like ORSM, Retnuh and Stileproject because at one point they had great personality in them, asked for surfer feedback and gave the people what they wanted!

    Unlike traditional surveys, Internet surveys have issues with how the sample is chosen. If the sample is just those who repond to a posted survey, it probably does not represent the entire population of visitors to your site and therefore cannot really be used quantitatively with validity and reliability. Essentially it becomes akin to a focus group with some qualitative data that might be helpful.
