Why on earth would we want a GAY channel to put action movies on their line-up? So we can ogle STRAIGHT guYs?????? Oh, that's right. I forgot. This is a business that thinks it's great to lust after straight guys, especially when gay guys are making money off of it. Silly me.

The LAST thing I'd want to see on a gay channel is Mission: Impossible or Lethal Weapon.

As i say, there is nothing on there right now that most of us cant watch on our existing channels, no wonder its taking them ages to go national, they have nothing to offer that would woo potential subscribers to them.
Um, it's not a subscription channel.

I have to say, i was expecting at least 1 sort of softcore porn movie at the weekend, they dont even deliver that, a stable of gay life for many (and something that would probably get watched).
It's on BASIC cable. There's no way they could get away with a softcore movie. Logo is not a premium cable channel that you pay for; it's part of a basic/extended cable package, and it's advertiser-supported as opposed to subscription-supported, so softcore sex movies are something you'll never see on there.

Or shows like 6 feet under, OZ - you would think they could have something made.

And I do love me some drag if done right. Girls will be Girls or Charles Bush.
This is probably worth asking them. I'd email them and see what they say.

Actually, I'm sure that the availability of broadcast rights has a lot to do with it, though.

I, too, wish Logo had more original programming. I think the channel is WAY too tame for its own good, but again, it's not subsriber-based, so they don't have the freedom to do what HBO and Showtime can get away with.

The release here in Florida is a part of the "Bright House Digital Premiere package" @ $56.99 in Tampa, $48.85 in Orlando

But yes, it's a part of the "Lifetime" lineup/block

Well, yeah, you have to pay more to get the extended basic lineup (which probably also includes MANY other channels), but you're not paying specifically for Logo.

There is NOTHING there that appeals to me at all.

I guess i could watch repeats of QAF at a push but i have them on DVD, along with the British version, i guess i could watch a couple of 10+ year old movies (Victor Victoria) but they are already on Cinemax and AMC every couple of weeks, i guess i could watch a couple of the documentarys, but i dont really watch documentarys LOL

Where is the action? The nerdy stuff? The sexy stuff?

I want to see some action movies, there are plenty of hot looking action movie stars, Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt, instead they are showing 'in and out' and 'cabaret'

So you would rather have a gay network showing tons of movies like Speed, Matrix, and Mission Impossible where the buff straight guy gets the girl, and some porn (like we don't see enough of it) rather than The Advocate newsprogram, coming out stories and QAF (for those who don't want to buy them all on DVD)? Well, we will agree to disagree then. I can see those kinds of movies on any station.

And I agree, I can see Victor Victoria, In and Out, and Jeffrey anywhere. How about movies that aren't so widely available? Our young gay people aren't learning gay history in school and we all know that those who don't learn history are doomed to repeat it. Ask anyone under 25 what Stonewall was and I'm afraid you'll get a lot of blank faces. And if it hadn't been for the movie a few years ago there would be even less.
