getting WM to submit - need ideas

you could put mention of the LL in the automatically generated
"you've been added" letters that go out when a webmasters submits
to any of your other projects... cross polinate when possible...

you could mention it in your blog (if you do one)...

you could put it on your w2w page if you have one...

you could put a button or banner for it ON your other projects
linking to a page for the choice of webamster or surfer
to direct traffic appropiately...

you could put promos for it in your webmaster newsletter
and give TGP partner accounts out to your LL submitters...

you could make it by invitation
if someone isn't automatically given something
they sometimes value (desire) it more...
you could permit each person accepted to offer the
invitation out to 5 others that they trust on recommendation...
- thereby getting a 6 for 1
- - - but of higher quality (potentially)

that's generally not what I do (build galleries)

Ah, so you're the fella we get the approved notice from when we sign up at either site ... that was confusing me on why you were pushing those sites and not your own! Thanks for clarifying!

well just by posting here you got a bunch of webmasters..I know I just signed up I assume just hitting all the boards is the best way. I know you already hit my board with it and hopefully got some webmasters from that as well.

I just looked over your site and think the reason you aren't getting many submissions is because you require a reciprocal above the enter button. I run a successful link list that gets around 50-100 submissions per day. I require a reciprocal link but the only rule I have for it's placement is it must be accessible from outside the password protected area. You won't get much traffic from reciprocal links no matter where they are located. Ask any successful link list owner and they will tell you the same thing. Most people just won't click reciprocal links anyways. I get 75% of my traffic from Google, Yahoo, and others. The key to getting good traffic on the major search engines is to get your reciprocal links out there. The more links you have out there the more traffic you will get. When I first started the link list I tried requiring the reciprocal link above enter links but I got very few submissions and a lot of pissoff webmasters emailing me. Since I changed the rules I get a much better response. I hope that helps you. Good luck with your LL.
