You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

High | Medium | Low Bandwidth Settings?

I was just wondering, those of you who do a lot of movie related stuff online, what settings are you using for low, high and medium bandwidth settings these days?

Im guessing low is going to be around 300k, medium around 500k and high around 700k, does that sound about right to you?

    Regards,

    Lee

100, 300 and 500 is what maxpixels gives us and is pretty stander from what I know. Anything over 500 I call DVD quality, might not necessarily be 100% true but hell we make most of this stuff up anyway.

As someone who surfs for porn id say go higher than 500 as an option. I get sick of tiny low quality movies being called high. I think there is alot of room in the market for higher.

I also think theres a pshycological element. Some sites do 1mb, that makes me feel like im getting something special. Odd i know but it does for some reason.

ours are 112k, 512k and 1699k. i've been seeing a lot of videos around 1000k, but unless the video is well lit, this isn't as sharp as i'd like to see at 640x480.

768k is probably a fair high video depending on the screen size of the video. at 640x480, it's going to lack sharpness but a little smaller and it can look good.

i DO still see a lot of sites out there with 512k or less for high, but i think that with sites like gayvideobox and videobox and the new HD sites around, these sites are going to start to seem pretty shabby. videobox's $14.95 membership comes with "DVD" quality vids, shown at between 2.35mb and over 3mb.

that is not standard - it's just what they give you.

I would think, Once someone does this... It opens up the door to what will be, and should be thought of as the new standard.

Well I really do wish my content providers would offer the higher bandwidths then, I know some of my full length movies are 1000+ that I call DVD but for the most part all I get right now is 100, 300, and 500. I really do not mind the disk space 0r bandwidth cost, and do want to offer my members the best I can, so in the future I guess I should be looking out for the bigger Vids.

When I start ordering more of this “exclusive” content I will make sure they are 2MB+

I look at stander as average though, and not high end.

Bring it on! I cant be the only guy who buys memberships that wants this, there are so many people on decent speed connections out there.

    320x240 @ 512k
    480x360 @ 768k
    720x540 or 640x480 @ 1024k
