New Year - SEO assistance

It is one of my New Years resolutions to become more active in Gay Wide Webmasters.

Sorry Lee... my exercising more is number one. Reaching particular earning monthly goals this year is number two. Quitting smoking cigarettes, number three. Somewhere in my mix of resolutions is a promise to read and be more active and comment, even though some may not enjoy my personal opinions.

This after all is meant to be a resource forum, but varied topics of drama, personal insults and even international politics appear seemingly on a regular basis. It has given me interesting reading... but I will NOW respond.

That is my promise to myself and you, this forum.

I look forward to responding to one particular hyper-posting member, that has said "sorry" so many times last year to this board.

Who am I? A very small fish in a extremely large and competitive environment. I have enjoyed reading several of the current gay heavyweights that post occasionally here, or their representatives.

My first ever gay website presented to the interest was back in 1994, using a friend's gay BBS system in South Florida, USA. With only eight dialup telephone connections, my simple site, presenting five photographic images I had taken and scanned, quickly overwhelmed his server.

But that is now the past history. I would venture to guess that 98% of gay men now have high bandwidth connections and are addicted to collecting still photography and downloading video.

Now as to the TOPIC.

I have been lax in educating myself on search engine optimization. Once in the far past, I had ICQ chatted with Darren, known then as the SEO Guru. I don't even know if he is still active and around.

Can anyone point me to some URLS with general info, not secrets, which I can then begin to reeducate myself on the Search Engines. Google remains the power, but I suspect Microsoft will soon arrive with something new. I have heard interactive search will be soon available via Microsoft, alas a woman being modeled and recorded.

Yeppers, I think he was the first to respond. Not a surprise. But he is busy soon opening a pay site, declined by CCBILL, as I recall he bemoaning.

Get real. What makes you think max cares what you think? Sadly, you will find people here happy to help you bully max. There as sad as you are but at least they have a rep on the board. With your whole 5 posts, i doubt anyone who whos worth anything will give a flying rats ass what you think about a long time member of the board.

I remained amazed that MAX has remained a member. I guess he is entertainment for Lee. Over the past year, he did not listen to the great advice given here. I though read, and sometimes printed.

I am personally looking forward to you insightful responses so far I think we all know what we can expect. You have no idea of what the hell you are doing, so I think you going back to being a lurker like suggested would be best for all of us.

Oh ya the Ccbill thing

, I talked to them like 6 weeks ago (like I posted) they are more than willing to process for my Full Operational Site (yes I just was Star Wars) they had NP with it to start with was a problem with one guy at the bank, but I am sure someone with as limited experience as you would find this really hard to understand. I am sure I will add them in a year or so but right now I am glad I went with paycom after all, seems that worked out really good for me, but again I am sure I am talking over your head.

Thax marcjacob, not sure we will see too much “bully max” around here though, I think we have moved beyond that a long time ago at least I hope for everyones sake. For some reason I think this might be Bean Boy.

I just got a real good book called "Search Engine Optimazation for Dummies". It is one of those yellow books, and seems to be really good so far. Not tricks, just basic info.

And no, I am not calling you a dummy. So please don't flame me.
