Gay Market Niches - Teens And Twinks.

As more and more webmasters from the straight side of the adult industry turn to the gay marketplace to make their businesses profitable I thought it was time to take a look at some of the niches within the gay community and especially, take a look at the proper way to market them effectively so the next few articles I write will do just that, take a closer look at how to market certain types of gay sites.

Defining A Twink.

First and foremost I think it is important that we all understand hat a twink actually is, many webmasters (gay and straight) still do not understand the fundamental basics when it comes to defining their content. in essence a twink can be described as a male model who is aged between 18 and 21 their appearance should be young looking and their attributes should be of a healthy build (not emaciated [starved]) generally speaking a twink will have little to no body hair and look 'fresh'.

Marketing Twinks.

Now that we have defined a twink model lets take a look at how to successfully market the twink niche in the gay market, for a start, using twink content on your sites and sending the surfer to a pay site that has 'hunk' type guys on the tour pages is a big no-no the gay surfer already knows at this point what thy are looking for, in this case, a twink pay site so by sending them to a site that doesn't have a single twink on the tour you have just wasted a valuable surfer. In addition when marketing twinks to your gay surfer make sure you can offer them a range of models on your tgp and free / AEN sites that are not already saturated in the gay pay site market after all, why would a surfer join a site if they know for a fact that they can see the same old pictures of the models on the pay site and your sites / galleries that they can find anywhere else?

Twink Content.

When looking to buy gay content the first thing you need to be aware of is where you can actually find real 'twink' models for example, Ounique ( http://www.ounique.com ) has a very good selection of male twink models as do some of the more specific gay content providers such as Twink Content ( http://www.twinkcontent.com ) be aware though that while many content providers do have the models categorized correctly unless that content provider regularly updates their portfolio you may be buying over saturated twink content (see above).

Twink Traffic Sources.

As with any gay sub-niche you need to be certain that the types of traffic you are sending to your sites actually does contain surfers that are looking for the type of content you are marketing to them, in the instance of the twink niche however, you can pretty much guarantee that many of the bigger gay TGP's and Link Lists have a good portion of surfers looking for twink content however, you wouldn't want to submit your site to a bear specific TG or link list as the chances of the surfers hitting that type of site looking for twinks is greatly reduced. A gay surfer is not the type of surfer to look for a variety of niches they know exactly what they want to fid when the hit the site, if they don't find it, they move on to somewhere else.

Gay Twinks - An Overview.

In essence as mentioned above, when marketing to the gay surfer you need to ensure that you offer them not only the content you say you are going to offer them but also that the pay site tours you are going to send them to offers that same type of content. One thing that you should also remember is that even though a site may be called 'Twinks' that in itself doesn't guarantee the company who designed that site knows what a twink is themselves, always ask for advice on a tour when niche marketing from a person who knows how to define certain types of model, at the end of the day by making sure you have your marketing down pat from the start, your bank balance will definitely be increased.
