Holly if personal offense were enough to get events canceled then there wouldn't be any more webmaster shows on the calendar at all. Not sure what the NakedSword experience has to do with no more Gay Phoenix Forum this year.

CorbinFisher.com was a presenting sponsor and we could not have been happier with the way the event went off, how we were treated, and couldn't have possibly looked forward to a 2nd annual GPF more. I won't speak for other sponsors as some have chosen to do here but I'd imagine our experience was not unique. And it wasn't our first high-dollar sponsorship.

The fact of the matter is that an October date selection could not possibly have come about for any other reason than to preempt even the possibility of a Gay Phoenix Forum taking place. The argument that it was the only month on the calendar that looked reasonable doesn't fly with me because the simple fact that the first GPF had taken place in Oct meant it was clear that timeframe would play host to the second. To any extent the Oct. date was selected because it was the most feasible, the Oct. date was selected expressly to deny the opportunity for a GPF to a greater extent.

If anyone wants to let the wool be drawn over there eyes that an Oct. date selection was merely coincidence, so be it. While you're at it, I got a bridge to sell ya.

As for there not being any 'backroom deals' does no one else find it strange that for almost 2 weeks, this whole issue was avoided like the plague then, all of a sudden, everyone involved started to jump to everyone elses defense... As if by 'magic' LOL

LOL again I was not personally offended... But NakedSword the company was expecting better treatment... I am glad you enjoyed the forum but that is your experience... OUrs was different... I wont argue you with you about your side as I like to hear all sides...

We were treated wonderfully by CCBill, as was every other sponsor I spoke with. Responses I heard from attendees of GPF were universally positive.

To try and cast that somehow a majority of sponsors were unhappy with the show, and that is why somebody "coincidentally" scheduled a show in the same timeframe as GPF is completely disingenuous.

The only negative comments I remember anyone making during or after the show was that the hotel was less than fabulous... but it was a first show, so I could definitely forgive that, and the attitude of the hotel staff was nothing less than stellar... the Westin Diplomat should fire its management team and hire the ones from the Best Western Downtown Phoenix.

If sponsors are now claiming they were unhappy, that would be a pretty complete turnaround from what they were saying at the time... and it isn't hard to guess why the change of heart.

I wish people would stand up for what they really believe instead of going with the flow of what they think will benefit them, or being afraid to say what they really think, or support what's best for the entire industry instead of what benefits certain individual companies.

The Phoenix Forum has certainly become an industry standard event and this is probably the next logical step.

You are correct you didnt, however the overall tone of your post made it sound like they were unhappy along with yourself, i apologize for assuming you were unhappy with the Gay Phoenix Forum it was wrong of me to do so.

Now that we know you and the sponsors werent unhappy with the show, why then did you group together in an effort to fuck CCBill over with your own show, in direct competition, and tell CCBill that none of you would be sponsoring their event this year?

I mean if you werent unhappy with how the Gay Phoenix Forum was handled, what possible reasons could you have to want to screw the gay side of the industry over other than lining your own pockets at the expense of those webmasters who would have liked to attend this years Gay Phoenix Forum?

If you were happy with the show, why then was a non-compete added to the show you guys were planning so that CCBill, a company that has openly accepted anyone as a sponsor to both the Phoenix Forum and the Gay Phoenix Forum, including Epoch, couldnt sponsor your event?
