I heard there is a condom the color of bluescreen where, after you replace the color in post editing, you can't even tell they're wearing a condom :gaydays:

why would anyone want to "disguise" the look of a condom?

if your shooting condom movies, let the condoms show for christ's sake - after all, that's what they are right? condom videos?

if you want the video to appear as if the models don't wear condoms, your cheating the viewer and should be shooting bareback!

customers don't like to be tricked.... at least that's my opinion

I mean, what your saying here is that condoms are not desirable in videos and need to be disguised because why?!?!?

now on the other hand, we would cut the ends off of ours condoms when we shot for major studios - they didn't tend to mind when we fucked each other and the camera couldn't see what was going on.... that's a different issue

The most unoticeable condom is the one that stays in its pack on the bedside table.

I actually agree with Tony on this one, if you are trying to make your condoms less noticable, shoot bareback and be 'truthfull' about what your intentions are.

Lots of studios, companies and individuals as of late have been trying to skirt around the issue of publicly stating they wont promote bareback whilst still trying to cash in on bareback traffic by 'hiding' the condoms on the model or shooting the scenes so the penetration isnt 100% visible.

IMHO, you cant say you arent going to promote bareback content in one instant then in the next say you want to produce content where condoms arent visible so you can cater to the bareback traffic sources.

polyurethane condoms are thinner and harder to see, but they are also less form fitting, so wrinkles in the material could be an issue visually.

    Cam, clever answer

Tony, I don't know what others intentions are, but I could see trying to make the use of condoms unobtrusive without offending the buyer.

We would never deceive a buyer by implying our content is bareback, and we would always include a safer sex notice to the effect that all content was shot using condoms, but I could see how using condoms that aren't obvious would protect the models while still not drawing attention to the presence of the condoms, and perhaps allowing the viewer to enjoy the fantasy if s/he doesn't like to be reminded about condoms, as some HIV+ people have stated is an issue for them viewing porn.

I agree it's a fine line and arguably goes against the notion of trying to present a message about safe sex in the videos.

Patti, we tried the polyurethane condoms at the last shoot. The consensus from the models was that they totally suck - not only are they less form fitting, but they tear easily and aren't very comfortable, AND they weren't any less obtrusive than the better latex condoms.

When I watch porn, sometimes SEEING the condom does make me forget the "fantasy" and can totally understand why the someone might be interested in less "noticeable" condoms.

I thought it was a pretty innocent question..was interesting to see some pretty intense responses right off the bat.

    Great answer.

IMO its not down to me to promote the use of condoms. If i can sell bareback i will. Its the job of the user to decide if he should use a condom or not.

That maybe wasnt your point i suspect but hey.

If the intent of the condom producers is to provide safe sex portrayal through the use of condoms than do it and don't be ashamed of condoms and stop fucking griping about it.

USE THEM and make them sexy for Christ's sake. Make them desirable - if you can't do that than you have no business shooting porn!

Condoms should not be feared, they should be glamorized!

and this, coming from me? I mean come on guys, what's going on?

are condoms really that bad? if so, why do we bareback producers always get told that condom films sell twice as much and are in twice as many place than bareback? am I being lied to?

yeah, I mean nobody want to wrap a baggie around their cock and stick up a hot ass - but that's not my problem is it...

I'm sorry, I know that I'm being rude but, I just don't understand why it is so difficult to have fun with what you got to work with - Cam and I managed to pull off 20 very hot scenes for condom features we performed in and some of those titles won best of this and that at those award shows we've been banned from

if we can do it, anyone can

FACT: If every studio had the ability to shoot what appeared to be bareback, it would severely damage the actual bareback studios.

WRONG!!! If it looks like your barebacking then you are. Condom studios have kept us locked out of half the market because they do show condoms in there vids. But if everyone looks like there barebacking It would open us up to markets that have shut us out. We would all be on the same playing field. WE would sell more!! And thats a FACT!!
