I wonder what the exact racketeering charge is. Racketeering seems to only fall under Section 18.. it would be interesting to see if Virginia is charging them under subsections 1461-1465 (obscene matter), though it could be something as simple as 1958 (use of interstate commerce facilities in murder-for-hire) or even 1512 (tampering with a witness, victim, or informant).
Does anyone know?
And now all their assets frozen and lawyers quit because they can't get paid. I wonder if their new public defenders will get them off?
Jesus.
I just read this
it is REALLY scary, and, from the police affidavit, it sounds like the situation was pretty much planned in Vegas.
I would be interested to see the whole affidavit, can't believe someone hasn't posted it yet.
It also makes it clear that Sean knew immediately what was up because (according to the affidavit, anyway) Harlow was the first to tell him that Bryan had been murdered.
Of course, if you go over to kruezeratnight.com/, *he* makes it sound like Harlow was framed, but from the police evidence (Harlow at the car rental place, at the motel, and on tape telling Sean about the killing) I don't see how it could possibly be a frame.
But... it really doesn't make anything look good for Sean and Grant.
As much as I don't think Bryan was a particularly noble guy, nobody deserves what he got, and if there was a murderous conspiracy over money between a nobody porn star and Sean and Grant, that's really pathetic.
And a million dollars off of a twink video from an unknown studio with one marginally known star and an unknown? They must have been smoking something.
Very sad.
I see where someone has setup a defense fund appeal for Harlow & Joe:

No way of knowing if it's legitimate, though. Don't know how they can claim to be "wrongly accused", either. Doesn't look like that so far. Is there another shoe to drop? What's Sean Lockhart's involvement in all this?
Weird... and getting weirder.
Seems Sean's boyfriend went to the police about that Vegas dinner. I didn't understand the NCIS reference until I saw Harlow had been in the Navy. I found it odd he used his real name to do videos and escort.
Some of those stories will curl your hair
If you think about it, going to the police *after* the murder would be a great way to try and absolve yourself of any responsibility and look innocent. Grant has been quoted asking all over the place if anyone knew someone who could knock Bryan off.
I thought maybe NCIS was involved because the surveillance was at the beach and there's a big Navy base in San Diego.
As for the legal defense fund, I read a news story where Joe's dad was interviewed and mentioned that he was setting up the fund. The article did say something about the Myspace page, so I guess it's probably legit, but given the evidence the police have, it's really hard to make an argument that they've been framed, so I can't imagine that donations are going to be pouring in...
You have to wonder what would be expected to happen to a guy who filmed underage guys for porn, gave them a line of bull, screwed them over and made a ton of money off them.
Do people think they can treat others this way for years and years and expect nothing to come back and bite them in the ass?
