Okay, so I was reading the xbiz article today about the Cobra Murder, and I noticed that Harlow still blogs from jail (which is interesting, I didn't know that jail was that laid back that you could just blog the day away). Anyway, to my point, so I was reading his blog, which he has to get donations, and I found this last entry interesting.

ok folks lets get real here…………… You are all a bunch of whining ass bitches who run your mouths to much and as of today i am not posting your stupid blog comments any longer either shut up or go away which ever you perfer but if you dont support harlow then get off his blog page and shut the hell up! While not my proudest moment I too have been to jail. Nothing serious, and I was not in federal custody (not sure if Harlow is) but there was definitely not a pc/laptop for anyone to use. Makes me wonder if it is really him blogging

I agree with you here, even if he has a friend posting for him, its under his name, and it looks like nothing more than a SEVERE anger management issue... Probably not one of the things that you really want brought up so much during a murder trial.

Unfortunately, when a submission page starts like that, there is usually a good reason, most webmasters are dumb as dirt when it comes to the simple stuff.

I used to get a bunch of submissions on CumSoda from the same guy everyday, even though he was banned and he never got a single gallery accepted because he didnt follow the rules.

I know Michael keeps getting FHGs submitted to his sites to, which he clearly states arent allowed, but dumb webmasters STILL submit them anyway.

Sometimes stating (like that) that you have to read the rules before submitting it what is needed for the idiots flooding the industry at the moment.

I suspect that Harlow doesn't know what his "friend" is writing. He supposedly checks over everything that's read (it's printed out and mailed to him), but I would guess he won't see this rant.

I think the blog maintainer is frustrated that so many people have posted that Harlow is a murderer and this and that, but if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Harlow and Joe's friend is absolutely doing the best (s)he can. Works a full time job, has 3 kids and a nutty spouse, trying to keep up their website without ANY internet, porn or marketing experience (main means of income to pay the attorneys at this point) and the blog, keeping up with donations, responding to journalists, etc. Also just signed a note to pay an attorney (BIG $$$) because (s)he believes, as I do, that Harlow is innocent. Yes (s)he is totally stressed out. To the max. But (s)he is helping a friend in need, and I thank God for people like him/her.

There is WAY more to this story than what has been released by the investigators. Trust me, the other side of the story will come out soon enough. As SebSloPro stated in the Appraising Brent Corrigan thread:

Those of you who believe "if you're innocent, you've got nothing to worry about" I say go to wm3[dot]org, and read how 3 teenagers were arrested and convicted of a triple homicide with absolutely no evidence ever found , simply because they wore "black and listened to (so-called) satanic (heavy-metal) music". Those 3 teenagers remain in prison to this day, 14 years later, one of whom is on death row. Hmm, they didn't wear the right clothes, listened to funny music, otherwise didn't fit in with the rest of society... one was even rumored to be (gasp) homosexual... I wonder how many of us have been in a similar situation...

Harlow first claimed that he was with a client the night of the murder. Now his boyfriend places him in the house near the time of the murder, assuring that prosecutors will get to illuminate that Harlow apparently lied to investigators initially. That kills any credibility -- I am sure everyone has seen a TV lawyer show where the lawyer catches the witness in a lie and gets to say "Are you lying now or were you lying then??"

It is not smart to discuss a case with the press before it is tried -- a lesson I learned as a prosecutor when I had little to lose, not when it was my name on an indictment accused of a murder. Now this newspaper story and every quote in it can probably be used as evidence, especially the parts that contradict earlier statements.

I saw Ron White in concert recalling when he was arrested for being drunk in public. He said "They told me I had the right to remain silent but I didn't have the ability"

Some of the so-called "statements" attributed to Harlow by various media sources were taken "over the telephone"; Harlow told me he has not made such statements by phone.

And once again, I believe it is Joe speaking in this interview, not Harlow.

Regardless of which co-defendant is speaking, their attorneys need to tell them to shut up. Anything they say can and will be used against them; explanations and claims of innocence will be parsed, examined, and picked apart by prosecutors. Statements and writings attributed to them and published on their domain can be used against them or used to shake them up during cross-examination if they choose to testify.

This is not the type of case that will be won in the press -- interviews like this can only hurt their case.

If Joe had been my client I would have wanted to strangle him! I am sure he wanted to paint himself in a good light, but newspaper writers lie to get interviews, they edit, "paraphrase" and in the end they write stories that sell papers, not exonerate anyone. The time for making such statements like Joe did is at trial, not in the press before the trial begins.

There is a lot of evidence that will be presented that needs to be refuted or explained if they want a jury to return the "not guilty" verdict, so the defense needs to have every option and strategy available because the stakes are as high as you can get. Public statements like this actually limit the defense attorney's options as he tries to blur the picture the prosecutor will try to paint. Even if Joe does not testify, this article and his quotes can be shown to the jury -- and that could force the defense lawyer to put Joe on the stand to testify, which will open him up to cross examination, and at this time, with my limited knowledge of the co-defendants, as a defense lawyer I would want to avoid putting them on the witness stand.
