What would you want to see? I have been toying with the idea of shooting somethings that are remaniscent of my youth. Things that were extremely erotic to me as a teen and on into adulthood

I have to admit the things that really get me going are things that I remember from small town life in the midwest.

things like:

The shirtless jocks at my high school and college bailing hay in the summer evening sunset. Sweaty skin, warm summer air, fresh cut hay, happy trails.

I totally agree. Working in the field of modeling for several years I have seen a lot of different things that get me going. Im a huge erotic art fan. Nothing better than a giant black and white pic of a hot buff guy misted down with a water bottle to give the illusion of sweat. Some people try to get off the easy way be having them lift an artifical rock or something so that it looks like they are working hard but one thing I have learned is just put them in the actual situation have them lift a real rock and really get the muscles and sweat pumping. Same thing with the directing. Find out what turns the models on. I've actually been on a few diffrent sets of shoots and video filming. It's actually not all that hot. It's more watching people fuck for a few minutes, and then "STOP! Move this way! Move the lighs there! Now FUCK'EM!"

Then having to sit there while the scene is done, waiting on the actors to finally give ya the money shot so you can move on. I've seen so many guys have to J/O for 1 hour to 3 hours to finally cum because of the viagra they took, or it being cold, or whatever.

I have to agree with the idea of facial expressions and more erotica, but that's just me. One of the hottest scenes I've ever seen was two guys who were pretty average looking and certainly not "professional" porn stars, but they were having a good time and reeeeeally into each other. It definitely wasn't scripted, just two guys enjoying each other and sharing affection. One of the best climaxes I can think of, because it was genuine -- getting laid vicariously was a lot easier with those two.

I remember hoarding mail order catalogues too (Spiegel was my favourite) and watching the shirtless jocks......then trying to do so without being obvious, once I learned I wasn't supposed to be looking at guys (small town mentalities, gotta love 'em).

We've found that our audience agrees with Brian's assessment... various scenarios can help to make things hotter and more erotic, but really, when you can see the facial expressions and tell that the guys are really experiencing something, rather than just going through the motions, that (for me) is what really makes it hot.

Even with our solo stuff, the approach has always been to make sure that the cumshot is positioned so you can see the model's face while he's cumming (it helps that we generally do at least 2 camera shoots, so we can get both a wide shot and a closeup at the same time)

And I also have to agree with Andymike's assessment. Shooting porn isn't nearly as exciting as you might think, and for the average ~20 minute 2 way, we might shoot anywhere from 1 to 2 hours of tape (double that if it's a full 2 camera shoot rather than just for the cumshot)... someday, we're going to edit together a gay porn bloopers reel.

The other thing we've started doing is shooting some more "scripted" stuff (ok, so the plots are completely implausible and the plot development sucks, but hey... it's porn...) and we've gotten some very positive comments from the early reviews, so I think some scenario setting can be a real boost to the erotic value.
