    silvercash's new gay site

silvercash has a new gay "reality" site...
    http://www.supertwink.com/main.html

obviously it's not aimed at guys who like slender, pretty, hairless twinks :-/ totally aside from everything else (i feel it is disrespectful and TOTALLY non-sexual), who is this site supposed to be aimed at as far as buyers? it eludes me entirely...

    am i missing something here?

Gary-Alan and I actually saw a kinda of preview of the site a couple of weeks ago.

Content from the site are already being posted on GFY in a negative manner

here's what i don't get. twinks don't wear makeup or they're cross dressers or queens. it's seems to be a straight man making fun of gay people - but then who do they suppose will buy memberships?

their main character is grotesque - at least to me - and repelling. am i missing something or did they just do a reality site dedicated to insulting the people whose money they want?

Well, having known some raver boys who do favor bright neon outfits, plastic kid's jewelry, pacifiers, and make-up, I wasn't as offended as some. It's not your average twink site, that's for sure. But there is a superhero fetish. I know a guy who has several spandex super hero costumes and he loves to tie guys up, put on the costume and then role-play like he's saving them. The visuals you usually see for this fetish are photomanipulations of hunky guys making out in translucent, skin-tight costumes, so this is the first time I've ever seen it done with twinks. But honesty, if I had a superhero fetish and I saw a site like this I would probably be very excited. And it's done in a very tongue-in-cheek style the way the old Batman series was done in the 70's with Adam West. And there's real sex going on, so I hardly think it's done in a derogatory way. Why go through all that trouble? Just my two cents.

Having said all that, all the exit traffic goes to straght sites. Isn't that a little out of place for a gay site? Or is that some sort of cross-promoting?

why go through all that trouble? because the people shooting the content are being paid by the site owner.

i do see the appeal of campy super hero - who didn't love batman and robin - but i guess i'm missing something once again but i REALLY don't see this as that. that's okay - i don't have to perceive everything correctly **

as a twink lover i think this site is lame.

as a webmaster i can see the appeal to certain markets.

    however i wont promote it.

i think it's a cute novelty site. It's not going to have a huge retention, but then again, 2-3 months is the average now anyway.

People were offended when baitbus came out. Granted this is no baitbus, it's not meant to be. I know the people who created the site. Actually, I think they pulled it off. I don't think you could do a gay superhero porn site and not be campy.

See now that you said thats what it was i can see it however, IMHO this needs to be made more apparent i think.

As it looks right now its almost as if you are trying to make fun of the gay community via the generalized stereotypes and, whilst we know this isnt what you are doing it may also look that way to surfers especially once the general webmaster populous start putting their own marketing 'spin' on the site.

    Regards,

    Lee
