You can take the riding crop in your carry on bag but you may get stopped and questioned. Your best bet is to check it with your regular luggage...

Unfortunately. I booked too late and couldn't get a room at the hotel, so we can either meet in the hotel bar or in someone's room...although that scares me a little, 
....
any suggestions??

I don't have a hotel room, so I'm out for that. I'm staying nearby with friends. How about the lounge? I think meeting in one person's room might be cramped, unless someone has a suite. Besides, if we meet in the lounge we can get drinks and snacks.

Yay...I'll be there thursday. I have a question though...is there anybody who'll be in SD the night of the 12th that might have some xtra space for me to crash? i've extended my stay so i can visit with my aunt who lives in SD...but she won't be home till Sund. night the 13th....originally i was supposed to leave on sat the 12th so now that i'm staying, i need to find some place to crash till she gets home the next night.
anybody have any suggestions? or should i just plan on getting raped on a beach somewhere that night
