    $10,000 a day,What?

Watching MTV Real Life; I'm work in the porn industry

and they have this guy, he's AJ at College Dudes 24/7 and he says he can make $10 grand in a day. And earlier he mentioned something about $5,000 per scene

He's also working for Jet Set studios on a contract

Unless I'm out of the loop those numbers seem a bit inflated, no? Anyone?

Maybe he worked for Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes? They were under the delusion that they could make a million dollars on a series of videos if they signed Sean Lockhart (aka "Brent Corrigan") to work for them. I can't remember who said it under oath, but Cuadra offered him $50k/scene. I'm assuming they meant per video, but I don't think Jeff Stryker made even half of that on any video that he wasn't a partial owner of the production company.

But yeah, $5k/scene is pretty ridiculous. Only a top of the line performer under contract with a major studio might even come close to that, with the possible exception of a former star making a comeback (as Kevin Williams did for Falcon).

But someone working for College Dudes 24/7? No way.

I saw that episode a while ago and was wondering the same thing.

He is supposedly gay for pay, so he prob doesn't want his str8 friends to think he's giving up his ass for peanuts, so he lies and says he makes more than he really makes.

    What a queen tho.

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

He says he 'can' not that he 'does'

I can make $1 million a day if i find someone dumb enough to pay me that.

    Regards,

    Lee

There are definitely models for some of the top sites/producers that get between $2000 and $5000 per scene. Brent Corrigan, when he was spending somebody else's money, was paying his no-name models $1000-2000 per scene. But on the whole, that's a lot higher than what most studios pay.

And the more I've read about the Cuadra situation, the more I think those guys really were stupid enough to believe they could make a half million bucks off of a DVD featuring Brent and Harlow. The situation was probably exacerbated by Brent's telling everyone that his being in a DVD would guarantee that it would sell 10,000 copies, which was never true either.

Some people are either dumb or very deluded.

I believe it. I see ads all of the time on Craigslist for SeanCody.com and they pay $5,000 a scene (or so they say).

Thanks to AJ's comments on True Life, we got a really large number of applications in the weeks following, .

Many larger web companies will pay $2K/scene and higher for certain talent. . . $10K, though, doubt it.

If he said per day for the $10K, I could believe it if he put in an 18 hour day,

As far as $5K a scene? Maybe if he was the focal point of a gang bang where an entire football team gave him the goods. Hmmm...might not be a bad idea...he could be that nerdy "team manager" guy we all knew in high school...well, you'd want to get a top quality twink model to play the "water boy" of course, and get some serious muscle dudes (with minimal tattoos, though) to pitch in.

    Nobody steal my awesome idea!

You guys do realize that you're having a serious conversation about something someone on MTV said on The Real World.

You, sir, make a very good point. MTV went from being socially relevant to being a stream of poorly conceived and blatantly staged "reality" shows.
