What to dowith a guy who wants ur torrents?

The other day I received an email from one surfer asking me about the title of one of our videos which he saw in one tubesite. I gave him the correct title and asked him why does he want to know. And he replied back saying that he find it very interesting and that he wanted to download the whole video in a torrent site.

    The nerve of that guy.

    oh gheesh....

maybe instead of giving him the title, tell him that its available exclusive in your membership area and that he should join to get it now!

by the way, is there any way to remove content from torrents?

I don't think you can get rid of them.... but well I am not well versed in these matters...

I have come to unhappily accept the copying, within limits, as a form of free promotion. If it has our logo on it as least they know where to find us to get the really good stuff. :-)

DMCA the torrent site if that doesn't work, DMCA the host or their upstream provider.
Some/many torrent sites outright block uploads of content from certain studios - Titan comes to mind

Yeah, that's pretty bold that someone would outright tell a sponsor they'll be downloading one of their videos free from a torrent site. That's like someone walking into my shop and telling me they're about to walk out the door with one of my products without paying for it. It boggles the mind.

I think it comes down to holding people accountable. Until harsh laws are put in place about reselling/sharing copyright content on the internet and they're enforced vigilantly, we have to tolerate this Wild West way of thinking - take whatever you can. It really sucks though. It started with music (Napster, Kazaa et al), then moved onto other things. The newer generation literally sees nothing wrong with it. No one has held them accountable unfortunately.

I don't think harsh laws are going to solve the problem.

It is a question of education I think. That goes for both producers as consumers. There is an awful lot of misinformation floating around. Is copying content really "stealing"? Or just copying without permission? After all, the original that I produced is still here on my hard drive. To me, the comparison with shoplifting is not as valid as it seems, at first glance.
