Here is my update...
I can't sit up for long, I'm so sick. :pigs04:
I had my first radiation treatment today. I doubt many have had radiation. It sucks! You feel great going in for it. You feel okay coming out of it. About a half hour after it, your body is very drained. Your very nautious. You feel like you need to hug the toilet forever. You don't want to eat but you have to force yourself to.
Today, they put a temporary IV in my arm. I have to stay hooked to it and I have to keep a bag hooked to me which contains essentially water which keeps the IV line open. For radiation, the purpose is to reduce my white blood cell count. Right now it's in the 30's. For someone who has the form of Leukemia that I have, it should be between 7-11. They have to reduce that. My calcium level has dropped to a very "severe" state. My calcium level is -19. It should be above +5. As you see, what has happened today is only the beginning. The IV was placed in my arm because when I do have my radiation they have to put fluid (can't remember the name of it) into your body for the radiation to work. I also have to keep it in for my nutrient treatments that I have to get every 3 days. I also have to take a lot of medications. I'm on about 8 different meds. My side effects from the medications is I forget, I get emotional (for example, today the mail was late and I balled my eyes out), and I get very drowsy.
That's where I am. I can't sit up long, I get too nautious, I can't stand long and need help moving around the house because I'm very weak.
So, this is where I am. Unfortunately, I'm hooked to my job. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse. When I have the ability to work, I use that. I am mainly only going through emails. I can't reply right now because it's hard for me to think straight. Even with posting this, I've had to revise it 5 times already
Well, back to sleep I go.

Let me tell you! A half hour after they started the process, I felt like I was on the top of the world! Have you ever drank too much coffee and your just wired bouncing off walls? That's how I felt. I did lay in bed most of the day today, I watched a lot of Spongebob Squarepants LOL. Eventually I got enough strength back and sat up and got some work done. It's slow, but hey you gotta start somewhere.
It's the radiation and meds that really kick your butt. I don't have radiation again until Monday morning. My body is accepting the radiation and my white blood cell count is dropping and my calcium level is increasing. It's only day 2, but a ways to go. Unfortunately, each radiation will get stronger and my body just won't like it.But, I'm still around and being a board whore as usual. WINK!
Now, xopa! Send me some of that viagra or cialis that you carry around with you all of the time! That will get me uppity uppity haha. Just teasing.
Oh trust! My doctor is VERY cute! I was describing him today to Don Mike... He looks like Ryan Phillipe from Cruel Intentions the movie. Except he's shorter, tight firm butt, he's more built, dark curly hair, a very nice 5 oclock shadow where he has a beard but stubble. I'd say he's in his very early 30's. I think he might be gay because when he gets excited on explaining things, he could fly right out of here
