    Google's new malware detection warnings

    A couple of days back, Google started putting up a big, yellow warning box when it detects that your PC has been compromised by malware. And to make it even better, it also provides links to help users remove the infection (see attached screenshot).

    Google says it believes there are a couple million computers that have been affected by this malware, which pushes traffic through a series of proxies to manipulate links and redirect users away from common anti-virus and software security patch sites.

    Funny...
    Those are the type of pop ups and links that security experts and even Google itself say you should never click on.
    By google legitamizing this type of link they may help the bad guys get more clicks if they look official enough.

    Yeah, I would be worried about clicking on a link in a browser that it wasn't just put there by the people trying to infect you with the malware.
