Euro webmasters: How to send check to US affiliates?

We are switching our affiliate program to NATS. One kink we encounter is the question how to pay US webmasters who want check. Previously Epoch handled all that. But I am Eurotrash so I don't have a US checking account. I could setup a US company but that is a lot of work just to arrange payouts.

I wonder how do other Euro based webmasters do this?

Checks are so.... 20th century.

To be honest it's been quite a while since I've come across an Euro paysite/programm that offered check payments and I've still two checks from an Euro paysite on my desk which didn't get paid out because their processor in the US "somehow" dissappeared. So I avoid check payments whenever I can.

Maybe a company like ACH http://www.ach.cc/index offers what you are looking for.

yes you NEED to offer cheque payouts to affiliates, there is no ands/ors/buts about it. And the only way to do this safely is to have your own company formed in the USA, then get introduced to a banker and get a USA account. You may be able to do the company online, but due to anti-terrorist and anti-money laundering regs, you absolutely need to be present to open the bank account, which means a trip with at least a couple days to the USA.

If you desperately need a US bank account, and you shouldn't, but, ask your HSBC Europe branch if they can help you open a HSBC US acct. (At least check it out on-line.)

HSBC International, in NY US, helped me get my HSBC UK and HSBC FR accounts opened, after I got the US account opened on-line.

I understand the process works both ways.

HSBC US has a Bill Payment program, where you order a Bill Pay by mailed check to any vendor at a US address.

Also, Barclays Bank has a relationship with Bank Of America. You could ask them if any of that includes mailing archaic paper checks in the US.

this might be stupid, but what's wrong with paypal? that is how i in the u.s. paid my web dude in the czech republic. i only needed his email and it was a breeze!

paypal does not allow to pay someone for adult entertainment purposes or to buy adult related goods/services

I get paid via PayPal by several adult programs.

It's all a matter of the name of the payer and the name of the recipient.

Keep it personal, and not Google-able.

The company way seems to be the only realistic option as Luke suggested. Seems there are plenty of company formation services that can get me started online but suggestions are welcome? :-)

Nick & Marisa, you both make valid points and personally I will not promote any site that does not have an electronic payment offered (paxum / paypal / wire). However, the reality is that at least 50% of affiliates still elect for cheque payouts, including many large affiliates that consistently bring in a lot of sales.
