Self Sufficient Sponsor Programs - Alternative Revenue Streams.

As we are all aware there are a slew of adult affiliate programs on the internet for webmasters to promote however, many of these larger affiliate programs, although they have their own hosts, content providers, design and programming teams are losing out on a revenue stream that, for many webmasters would seem like common sense. In this brief article we will take a look at some of the large affiliate programs with a vast in-house team of developers can potentially increase their profit margins even more and, in the process gain a larger adult webmaster following. What is this money making concept? It is more simple than you think it could be.

Affiliate Program Business Services.

As I mentioned above many of the large affiliate programs have their own team of designers, programmers and content providers at their disposal however, very few of them, if any are using this invaluable source of skills to their full advantage and, if you consider the salaries many of these workers are getting paid (in excess of $50k for a designer) they could not only off-set the cost of running their businesses but, could potentially make a significant profit on just running an affiliate program.

Sponsor Program Outsourcing.

First off, before we go any further I just mentioned a word that for the most part has become synominous with bad service and poor control, outsourcing, however, bear in mind that for the most part at some time in our career as an adult webmaster we will inevitably need to outsource some of our work to third parties, whether this be in the form of programming services, hosting or, designs for our sites outsourced business is major money.

So lets take a look at how outsourcing can become a good supplemental business to an affiliate programs webmaster base.

Instant Traffic / Marketing.

The first thing that comes to mind about sponsors offering their own business services to their webmasters is that the initial marketing needed to launch new services from scratch is instantly going to be reduced to next to nothing, after all the sponsor program already has a large following of captive webmasters to which they can present their new services to and, furthermore, the affiliate program owners can already guesstimate the amount of incomes being generated by their affiliates on an individual basis, this in turn will mean that the costs of such a service can be catered in such a way as to be appetizing to a wide reach of webmasters from newbies to old time pros.

Services To Offer.

As mentioned above, many affiliate programs have a wide reach of business orientated personnel that operate in-house from graphics designers to programmers and some even have their own hosting datacentres. Right off the bat this means that any medium to large sized affiliate program could offer design, hosting and programming services to the general webmaster populous. Now team that with the costs of such services, designs ranging from $300 - $1500 per paysite, programming ranging from $50 - $250 an hour and hosting ranging from $1 - $5 a gig of bandwidth there is the potential for an affiliate program to make a serious amount of change.

So Why Hasn't It Happened Yet?

Good question and, in all honesty I don't know however, one possible solution is that a lot of these affiliate programs simply do not have the man power to support such an enterprise of course, the explanation could also be as simple as that nobody has thought about doing it. Either way I would expect that certainly within the next 12-24 months as things get harder for paysites and especially the billing services this may well be something that we start to see more and more of in the adult industry. Of course, ultimately, only time will tell.
