I am sorry to be so late to respond, but I honestly didn't see your question until today.

If you read all three parts of the tutorial, and do each step a couple of times you should be able to build this without "seeing it in action". I have shared some of my personal marketing sites in the past and unfortunately, have had them totally ripped off down to the last custom banner, freesite design, meta and description tags, etc ...so I'm a bit reluctant to put my urls out there. It is just too much work to have it all appear on some other guy's site and all he/she did was replace my affiliate links with his.
