Linkspun - for traffic or links?

My problem is that I'm receiving trade requests from straight sites on Linkspun and I don't know what to do about them.

I don't expect much (if any) traffic from straight sites and I don't think I can send traffic to them. Also I don't feel too well about linking to straight sites because I think that might put off surfers looking for gay stuff.

So would you say that Linkspun is about traffic at all or is it just about having link trades for seo purposes?

From what I've read, Google cares about quality links more then quantity. I think you would be doing yourself a disservice to your surfers and in Google's eyes to link from your gay sites to straight websites, you should instead try to do link trades with sites that are of a similar interest to what your surfers tastes are.

I think I reject 99% of all trade request I get on Linkspun. Everyone hides their money makers and show their crappy splogs. Once in a while I find something that's worth it.

I've been noticing a new epidemic if you will....

You will trade links with someone. Both parties involved will add the links. The other will drop the trade after a couple weeks to a month and turn their blog into something else. For example it started out as a big dick blog, a month later it becomes a bareback blog. One was called something like Condom Fuckers. About 5 weeks later it turned into Bareback Fuckers Losing the Condoms.

You also have to be very careful on some. Be sure to check out their sites. One traded with us, he had a site that was a blog. 2 weeks later he forwarded his blog to an AEBN theater.

We stopped using Linkspun. It's a full time job to keep up.

I use that as well and love it. It's especially useful if buying or selling links for specified periods of time.

As for LinkSpun, I use it less for building traffic and more for linking.

Thanks for all the feedback. I didn't think about Google maybe punishing you for linking to straight sites from a gay site.

I agree, the quality of the links offered isn't always that great, but then I haven't offer so much myself and I guess for the time being I have to get what I can take, unless it's absolutely not worth the effort.

Also thanks for reminding me of Link Organizer. I've been looking at it for a while now, guess I need to get me a copy now.
