New Blog Post Submission Site

Hello all Since the big 'G' - let's not give them even more link juice than they already have - has been giving us such grief traffic-wise, I thought I'd start a blog post submission site of my own - http://www.pinupdudes.com/. It's bare bones and easy to use - blog title, url and category - and I'll take care of the thumbnails for you. No RSS fed blogs, legal content and a link back is all I ask for rules.

It will be a bit before we're seeing some decent traffic but it will be linked to from some good places and as long as everyone links back it will be a happening place in no time.

How awful Bjorn took down (some of) BMD! After promoting it that it was the be-all and end-of of blog sites, I created my corner of it. Once a week for a year, I uploaded pics and info about new models I shot with, and their videos, DVDs and eBooks. Only about my content, not reposted pics and stuff from sponsor sites.

So last week he posted that he was going to curtail its growth, and I logged in to add a new post, and mine has been archived.

Not even a nice personal e-mail sorting things out, giving a time line to download the content, nothing to chat about or negotiate or sort out.

We all have experienced providers who have come and gone, and others who have started then stopped, for better or worse, but this one was from the inside, from someone promoting himself as a promoter and networker.

Traffic was never tops. I get better traffic from many other sources.

I subscribe - or used to subscribe - to his Twits. Nothing but spam about sponsor sites. I Tweet about my models, that I have personally shot with and produced videos, DVDs and Books.

So thanks for creating yours, RDude. keep it up - in more ways than one!

With all due respect Nick, Bjorns site, and Rdudes site are very different concepts.
If Bjorn, for whatever reason decided his blogger system should be invite only due to spam, one time users etc, that is his choice as webmaster. If you have a problem with that, dont use 3rd party systems, plus, its nice to talk to him before 'boarding it'.

Wow...I certainly didn't mean for this to happen. Indeed, as Richard said, my new site is a totally different concept than Best Male Diaries. And yes, my blog is still up there. Due to the fact that I use it for what Bjorn mentioned - unique content and in my case, sponsor promotion. As is the case with many of us on GD and GWW I believe. I've never personally deemed that kind of marketing as 'spam', but to each their own, as they say.

Anyway...the site is open for registration and submissions.

For the record, Bjorn is a very good man and has done wonders for our industry. Thank you Bjorn

Sorry I didn't see a contact email to use for him. Maybe you see one? Oh but we're not to contact him and he's not going to read it anyway. Pity. Waste of a good Bank Holiday.

But of course my point still only is: where was the contact from him first before deleting our accounts? I'm sorry he's upset with himself now for not being communicative with us invited users. After all he did invite us, and I was approved, and I was there a year. Or longer? I've been on the road for 3 years. Time flies, traveling, shooting, editing...

Curious that he comes on here now to make up some lame non-existent excuses after the fact. Not recognizing him as an ongoing contributing member here over all of these years. Awesome use of a Bank Holday.

And invited to follow on Twitter, and accepted , and Tweets are supposedly re-Twitted. If not, then I guess the invite wasn't real.

The point is that over the years, on multiple boards, there have been threads about free hosts who come and go, and those who delete. No one has had any respect for those types then. The same questions were asked then that I ask now: What's the difference?

This and the other boards have been ripe with threads pointing out unfair, unproductive, fraudulent, non-paying this and that for years. Far greater name calling than my saying I was deleted without communication, and providing the links. Sorry if I said the King Has On No Clothes.

I'm just participating as per community standards. Since 2005 here and the predecessor to this with the similar name in 2004.

Certainly better than all of the members who have accused others of being scammers and cheats.Of course I know of several cheats, members with no money one day then big deals the next... And the (now former) member who got drunk and screamed in a public place to horrified onlookers after the GWW LA members dinner in 2007.

The anti-competitive discrimination against me is read by other members as if it could be them, next. Of course, it is bound to be.

Had fun shooting photos and video with 3 mid-20s bodybuilders from the east midlands last week. 2 solo JOs and one non-sexual nude. All uncut. I haven't had time to post because of no desktop internet in 2 of 3 hotels, including this one. Unless posting original copyright pics in Donny's fun thread is spam. All I have ever to offer is my own work. My favorite on-line reviewer calls me "prolific".

I'm not a competitive threat to anyone here. Just a good resource with multiple talents over 25 years in the biz.

It think it would be a good idea to for you to take this private nickbaer. This thread is completely unrelated to your 'beef' with Bjorn. Of course, that would be up to both Bjorn and you. We really try not to trash people on the board here.
