    InterNext 2017

Today was the opening of InterNext 2017 here in Las Vegas. The major event today was the Meet Market.

New construction, moved the Meet Market from the old narrow hallway, to the bigger event space. And a huge new restroom.

I forgot this one from Saturday night. They had a live cook serving Bec food! Flaming fruit!

Saturday afternoon seminars about "Brand" and "Live Cams". "Live Cams" was a bit "Str8".

Sunday! Looking ahead to the future. One owes me $29.99 since 2011! One disrespects my content. Two were rude to me in person over the years. I listened, but each was too "corporate" to apply to my situation of a small, speciality entrepreneur.

And a Legal panel, which I did not photo, I was going to but was having too much fun listening and learning. Although, not much really for me, but I liked learning about stuff that does not apply to me.directly.

As for observations about the future under the Trump administration, the consensus was that Trump empire makes too much money on pay-per-view porn in his Hotels, to try to bother the porn industry. And, the porn unit of the FBI was disbanded years ago, and it would take a lot of energy to put back together. Agents don't have a lot of energy to do that, because they got very little in terms of convictions out of their efforts, and 2257 is in bad shape.

Ruth from Paxum was NOT there. Very sad.

Payoneer was there, but I did not see them.

There was a new card there, but I do not have the energy to invest in trying out any new cards.

So was there a good turnout in both the gay sponsors and the gay affiliates?

I think the turnout was good, but because the Hotel added a humongous new expo space, we weren't as crowded as previous years. We could see in all directions! We could see carpet beneath our feet! And, the Meet Market grew from just Saturday for 2 hours, to also Sunday and Monday all afternoons!

The seminars were lame with poor agendas and moderators, except for the legal panel. That one rocked!

Lots of gay attendees, but almost no visible gay sponsors. Most of the Meet Market displays were for Traffic and Cams. As most of us know, most "Traffic" companies have a poor list of gay sites and creative artwork. Lots of Cams have "gay" or (better) "male" sections, but the models were half-naked skinny gals. The guys (dressed) mostly were there to talk about the "girls" on cam.

Last year was about some European Cams that weren't there this year.

CCBill was there. I've been an Affiliate since about 2007 and Client since 2010. I got to chat with Raymond, who helped me implement my sites in the beginning ~2010. Paul and Gary were there, in split shifts, since the Meet Market itself was now open for 3 days, rather than part of 1 day. Gary grew a beard, and Paul still has the most amazing expensive brown shoes.

This part of Gary's bio was news to me: "A Seattle native, his past lives include managing the Academy Awards in 1996 at the L.A. Music Center, as well as performing on Broadway as a professional actor/singer."

We all are in e-mail and phone contact with a dozen or more sales, marketing, production, etc., partners for our role as content producers or Affiliates.

It is fun, once a year, to meet in person.

I met Scott, the Affiliate manager from DVD Empire, and the aforementioned guys from CCBill.

I kind of wanted to meet more. I believe of the 30 platforms that I work with now, as a content producer or Affiliate, only Scott from DVD Empire, and Matt from AEBN were there in person, for InterNext! Some more will be there today for the AVN consumer show! I might go to that, it is not free for me as a content producer or Affiliate.

There were people from every Traffic company I've ever seen or heard of... but I didn't stop to ask any if they've finally added some good Gay sites and male creative artwork, as I had not taken the time to go and make a list of which Traffic companies were still bad at that, and which had improved. I just didn't have the time nor energy.

After 2-3 years of earning pennies from "Traffic", yet I can go on Chaturbate and in 10 minutes make $16.50 doing a show, it's a matter of ROI on time.

I did visit with a company that has a current product similar to one that I was involved in, in the 1980s-1990s, that I used to earn $16,000/month - in 1989-1990s money! I'm not going to talk about it now, until I work through it more with them, but on Sunday the two guys at the booth and I had the most amazing flashback walk through history of that product, and its evolution over the past 30 years!
