I Wonder? Flash knowledge anyone ?

    Ok.

So you encode a video in Flash 8, and export it as a movie. You embed that movie on a page and it works, and plays on page loads.

Now what i want to know is how can i chage that so it doesnt play untill "clicked".

On a lot of blogs like TotallyHotMen.com videos have a play button in the center and they wont play untill that button is clicked.

Does anyone know how this is done? Even a TINY insight into this would be great, iv tried searching the web but its like searching for a needle in a haystack when it comes for help with macromedia products.

    Thanks everyone!

A lot of people cut out the programming by using a player with the video default of playback=0

Setup a Video Blog Tutorial ... might help you as well with some players, etc. Does discuss about setting it to not autoplay.

Yea, that's a link I'm saving - pretty good tutorial on basically how to do your own YouTube type flash files and embed them on your site.

NO WAY! Really? I'd better check that link out. I've been dying to find a Youtube-like Flash player. Thanks!

    Oh, it uses this Flashplayer.

    http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?item=Flash_Video_Player

It uses .flv files (instead of .swf) that are MASSIVE and I couldn't manage to get it to work properly. Please let us know if you get it to work.
