Ya know... I attempted to market to a number of those webmasters and even the groups for years. They were so busy in their own little corners that many just don't know how much they are missing out on. I used to get insulted by the jokes, then realized it would probably hurt many of us here if they did come over and start the foolishness. I'd rather have a good group of people willing to work and have fun together than others who cannot get passed a name. But you'd be surprised how many do lurk around the forums and actually use the resources.

    On that note...

Here's a bit of history. I bought this domain as for a completely different project. It was going to be geared to webmasters, yes, but only as a part of an affilaite program for a non adult venture. When I spoke to Rick Muenyoung (the original owner of YNOT) about creating a resource for the gay market, I decided to grab what I had in my bag of tricks already LOL

    My best,
    Gary-Alan

And I, for one, am glad you did! I've heard comments that this site isn't as "instructional" as some other webmaster boards... but I disagree. Its "teaching" comes thru differently, and in a lot more detail. If you're serious about doing adult gay sites, there is a tremendous amount of knowledge to be gleened here if you take the time to read what's shared, and match it up with information in other posts. This business doesn't have simple 1. 2. 3. answers, or a kit you pickup and over the weekend you've built a multi-dollar production machine. And the information works for the straight market in a lot of ways, as marketing for either still taps the shoulder of the same process needed for a successful foothold.

Thank you, Bec. You hit the nail on the head. We all share our information in our own ways, together as a community. This is the 3rd generation of these forums (not counting the resource sections) and the information shared in this short period of time is enough to fill volumes. There are sites whose main focus is to teach the basics of html, explain hex codes for colors, and the like (we have it too in the resouce sections and more resource sites in our network that do just that). I like to think our focus is to talk the gay adult market - what works for us, what to avoid, how to succeed and yes it all crosses over in the end. But, when a webmaster doesn't know the basics of html, if they ask, they get their answer in our own friendly style.

Thank you, again Bec for being part of this with us!

    My best regards,
    Gary-Alan
