    Looking at Affiliate Proposals

    Hi Everyone

We are going to be looking at more affiliate programs offered by other sites/companies. We currently work with AEBN and very satisfied with how it works.

We are interested in finding quality, genuine, honest affiliate programs that we can sign up for and put links on our site. I would assume that we can have multiple affiliate links on the same site.

Feel free to post links here for us to look at,

    OR,

Send your information and details to my mailbox.

    Thanks in advance!

    Revshare

I have several sites that do very well and are easy setup.

    Check out http://www.menofsteel.com/resources/...re/default.asp

May not be the biggest percentage, but sells very well.

Our site Boyfunk has been producing very well for a number of regulars here (and quite a few other affiliates.) We're getting ready to do a major overhaul on the interior, add more video and a fresh look, which I think will have a significant impact on retention, but we aren't doing bad now... and probably 30-40% of our members seem to join with either $40 or $90 signups, so I think our program is worth looking at

We'll also be doing a major upgrade to our affiliate program in the next couple months, but if you need any other resources (banners, galleries, content), please let us know and we'll be happy to help.

    NakedSword.com

I have to say I'm a bit biased, as NakedSword.com is my employer as well as my affiliate partner, but I'm more than pleased with the results. I run www.GayPornBlog.com and have really found that the combination of PPV rev share and membership join rev share have created a steady and solid income base. I work with several other major affiliate programs (including many from major gay porn studios), but haven't yet found one that pays me so much so often and with such regularity.

Hey PB . . . I'd hope you're also selecting based on the compatability of their sites with your traffic (whatever gay market niche(s) you service). To do that, take a look at our Directory of Gay Sponsors/Income Sites where we've tried to identify the niche(s) they service, what payment processor(s) they use and if they are gay-only in their offerings. That last often (not always) points out an operation that does know the needs and wants of the gay community when it comes to porn.

Note to all:: if you know of, or operate, a sponsor program we've missed, let us know.

    Yeah Thanks!

Thanks Jay Jay and everyone else for your feedback/info.

We are still looking at potential affiliate programs. We're just a bit overwhelmed with work right now. But know this, we will be signing up and/or contacting you shortly.

    Thanks again,

PapaBear: As someone who runs "free sites" that make all their money from affiliate programs, allow me to suggest that you should approach this as if you were figuring out your website's revenue plan. The question is finding ad revenue to pay your bills.

The good news is that there are countless affiliate programs that fit the criteria of "quality, genuine, honest" ---- more then you will ever be able to utilize.

The tricky part is pinpointing ones that your specific website readers will spend their money on. The next tricky part is once selecting the program, what exactly do you write, or what banner do you use.... where will you place it?

Study your stats - do most of your readers surf in on the nyc.rr.com domain? or are they in Germany? Do they live around a jillion gay bookstores, or are they in Salt Lake City, UT?

You mention that you use AEBN to good success. The VOD product is ideally suited to selling on our websites. And there is also Naked Sword and Maleflixxx out there providing great programs. The thing about those three is that their product line-up is slightly different, and you want to sell each of them in specific ways.

I run a gay movie review website, so those programs are well suited for me. Your mileage may vary. I guess I could go into a specific run downs of those three if you want. But I guess my best suggestion to you would be that if you want to sell this stuff, you need to present it in some kind of new and interesting way to your readers.

*everyone* has seen that same 125x125 banner for SeanCody.com. I happen to blank that stuff out. You don't want your ads to be just background noise to your readers. Presentation is everything, so think of ways to entice that are different. I'll ask my friends what porn sites they know about... and what they are joining. What do you personally like? You are the salesman... what products are so good they sell something to the salesman?

If I can get sold on something, hopefully my enthusiasm transmits when I market its affiliate program myself.

    Steve

If you're looking for something unusual, we offer balloon-guys.com which has incredibile retention.

Also, while we do not yet have a solo tour for him yet, brutus black has a teriffic gay following. He interracts with his members regularly, and responds to their solo shoot (and specific camera angle) requests.
