    Hey David

Well the first reason (and probably most logical) for the reason many members area's dont get spidered is due to the .htaccess most sites have in place. No point in spidering something if nobody can get into the document 'freely'

The other thing is that may paysites (i know the Stud Money sites do) have some form of spider redirection in place such as a robots.txt file of referrer restrict which actually stops the search engine spiders going past a certain point of the site itself.

You can find a bit more information on the robots.txt protocol at the following url:

    http://www.gaywidewebmasters.com/art...ext-file.shtml

Hope that answers your question for you

    Regards,

    Lee

spiders work by finding your site and following links on your page to other areas of your site so if you have a page like domain.com/nolink.html and there is no links to it from your site or any other site then it will never get spidered.

this is why it is valuable (esp for google) to get links to your site on other people's sites that are in the same general content area and that have a good established s.e. presence (check google PR for that).

sometimes spiders do get inside areas that you don't want them to get into and they show up as listings on SEs, but like Lee says if you have .htaccess protection and a robots.txt file in place you will be fine.

Oh, one other thing, depending on the SE, only the first "x" number of words on your site will be read by the spider plus if you overdo it on keywords you will be considered spamming the SE and will be dropped. So tread very carefully - SE optimisation is an ever changing art form!

    cheers,

    Luke

    Getting spidered.... (sounds kinky)

Due to .htaccess, and other authentication technologies, it is true that spiders can't traverse many modern sites. Additionally, database powered sites with complex javascript or backend generated URLs don't get spidered either.

You can use a simplistic browser like AMAYA to see what the spiders see.

What we do is create a whole different web-world just for spiders... it's called "stealth SEO" . Ie. if a spider goes to ALLGAYMOVIES.TV, they see a catalog of movies and stars with links to pages of keywords and text. It's pure ugliness optimized for spiders... if a user happens to land on one of these pages with Exploder or Netscrape, they are redirected to the homepage of the site.

The goal is to optimize natural search results. All this fun technology is built into our theatres....

google changed their spidering schedule, now they spider all the time and are constantly updating their search results and if you have a higher PR you will get spidered more often for changes.

The Google spider will only spider pages that you have direct links to from an already existing page that Google already knows. In other words - if Google visits your index.htm file, and you want it to spider 1.htm 2.htm 3.htm and 4.htm - you need to have links to those pages on index.htm

And yes - text is KING. As a rule, the more text on a page, the better your rankings for that page will be.

    Wink an added attraction

Not an expert... just a keyboard fool--

I myself tried to fool around with slam dunking se`s and a great start is to misspell and type silly nonsense sentences that include your keywords and misspelled keywords with paragraphs, complete sentences with "."

    Short exemple you can includ in your guysit;
" My gay budy, frends look for 100 or 1001 ... could take away 69 two for mpegs, avm,.gif, ot gender street parade pictures and gay websits fre and gratuit, oder gratis instant escort contect, beaches and bitchboy him the closet and boss gsy movies , travel n transit for gay men, and sometimes we webmaaters loik fir resorces that forums love because google and yahoo love to search.
This is close to my gay queer neighborhood and big cities like nyc, paris, london and gay bathouse, top and bottom, even and odd and really fun dates to clean shaven manner. Cool yool drule and kum kewl fur network combo stud anal guys!

Stop reading its enuff forty nights sweet weekend treff gentlemen lover or my one night stand twink.Wow daddy know s a goodlaugh tonit an tommorow show caberat in japan vs. korean semi asian translated soccer homepage for gaymasters/slaves and if you8 got this for laugh harder and members cocks will penetrate your sales hole. ouch that was pain and hurt a flirtdate."

Get the idea? complete nonsense but works. Remeber its content and keystrokes that count.

Make one page (85% of those words keywords)complete with ca. 5000 words linked to from your index page--- and hyperlink about 10 sentences to your actual entry page. drop that url into the freebie submits and for sure you`ll get better results.

Also, remember... current event keywords are alway a plus.
be surprised how many war fans / horror seekers there are, or interest in the bird flu epidemic traveling to Thailand.... hmmm, enjoy the tips...

I recently renamed the pages for my small free sites and used .htaccess to force visitors to go through the adult-warning welcome pages. Unfortunately, this appears to have prevented the adults-only pages from getting indexed by the search-engine spiders. Only my renamed adult-warning welcome pages are showing up in the search engines. For listing by the search engines, it appears to be better to use a javascript to accomplish my purpose. But, alas, if the visitor has scripting turned off in his browser, he'll effectively bypass the adult-warning page.
