PC or Mac or doesnt it make a difference?

The card is for a PC

I currently own a 9000 pro ati card all-in-wonder which has a built in capture, which does good captures but I get unwanted black bars on the bottom & left sides. (Performance is good with the current display driver 6.14.1.6292, ati mmc capture software ver. 7.9)

Did try updating the drivers & software, but the new version & software doesn't capture very good like my old version. (The left black bar is reduced on the new version of mmc)



So I need some good software that can crop these video borders. Or maybe a new card?

I also use a dv firewire card connected to my mini dv camcorder for video capture.

Windows movie maker 2.0 is very good, any programs like this about?
