I can relate to what you’re going through, Lee… don’t give up!

I smoked from age 16 to 28. What worked for me in the end was using the Nicoderm patch simultaneouly while I took the anti-smoking medication Zyban. It was overkill, but I figured it was the only way to be sure.

That was over 5 years ago and I haven't smoked since. Which is probably a good thing because here in Montreal it will be illegal to smoke in public places starting at midnight tonight!

Yah, it took awhile for me to get that smoking during road trips/car rides out of my system, partially - I do crave, every now & then.

You mean all that gambling and beer... and smoke?

I tried Zyban once and I practically went "postal" Don't ever make Tony go postal...it is not a cool thing to watch! (not even from a distance!)

Welbutrin, as it is called in the "anti pshychotic - anti depressent" class of drugs, did not work for me at all. And, the side effects sent me to the emergency room, left me with an enormous co-pay, costly follow-up visists with lots of specialists - which all made me more anxious resulting in higher intake of cigarettes!
