For every surfer that has seen a content set, there is another 10 that havent
Dont forget, new porn surfers hit the web every year so even 20 year old content is 'fresh' to somebody
I think the really good thing that MaxPixels has going for it is the cost, it wont be used by many TGPers that literally can flood the marketplace with content that everyone will have seen, setting their prices at the levels they do will certainly enable their content to be used for many, many more years

The seem to have dropped the prices actually. Sets are now $50 for new twink sets. Some of their boys are very fine...
They have always had a few sets in that price range but, your average TGP webmaster isnt going to spend $50-$150 on a set of content, thats where MaxPixels shone through because by setting the pricing at those levels, they in effect created a kind of 'exclusivity' as to who will and who wont use their content.Originally Posted by marcjacob

Thanks for the kudos, Lee. Yes, Marc, it's a fine line between having prices that are not too high for the average webmaster but not so cheap that your stuff gets sold hundreds of times and is all over the web. I like to think we dance along that edge quite nicely, heh heh.
And Lee has a good point, young gay men come of age every day, hitting their 18th birthdays and finally able to log on to adult sites, or even older men who are just starting to explore their sexuality and looking for gay content. So there is always a market. So by getting the newest content we have to offer you can grab everybody, and even when you replace it down the line you can still have it in your archives and it will continue to impress the newcomers (pun intended).

No offence meant by this thread Don Mike, im learning the biz and need to steer myself in the right direction, choosing quality content which you have thats within budget but not over used. The question came about because a) i like the boys and b) i know a few webmasters that use you.
I surf for porn and have seen some of the sets in paysites mixed with exclusive (i know spuzz cam do this). Thats what i want to mirror. Im thinking along the lines of resident models and guest models. kind of best of both worlds.
Anyone think thats a crap idea - speak up as i kind of need to know
i like maxpixels models/photography , the prices for the quality i think are very reasonable , and agreed not everyone has seen everything (i most recently finally got to watch "driving miss daisy" , i'm hoping sometime this weekend to watch "fried green tomatoes" so i can put alittle "closure" in my life!) :fool:
