I think that we will see limits to the creative, philosophical and intellectual perspectives in one of the most significant gay markets in the world - print is struggling to compete with the internet - there is no question that advertising revenues in print are rapidly shrinking
but does anyone under 35 really care about print (in a traditional sense) any longer?
People have been saying that for years, but the thing is, both IN and Frontiers have been doing well and continue to do well. Frontiers is, as it's been said, "a cash cow."
I think the gay rags especially will continue to serve a vital purpose in the community, since when people come to a city for the first time, one of the very first things they tend to pick up are the freebie arts & entertainment/nightlife publications to find out what's going on and where the hip places are. Not everybody travels with an Internet connection, and there just is no replacement for having something that you can grab and take back to your motel room and put on the coffee table for a quick resource or something to read while you're sunbathing or what have you.
There simply is no replacement for print, and never will be.

What Tony's saying is that It is still one point of view, Since both mags will go though the same front office. What one mag may have printed that the other one would not is gone now.
But I do think that as far as that goes In has always been willing to print things that Frontiers would sensor. So this is a good thing for LA in the long run.
