Bell could have been a clematis or possibly an onion

I thought that belonged on your list...
I know you put allot of energy into your projects and seem
to enjoy it...
I am addicted to my work like someone else might be
addicted to cigarettes or alcohol... I have fits if
I have to be without a keyboard (and access) for more than
48 hours...

Hey Lee,
Just a thought, clematis are vines as opposed to trees/shrubs and flowers generally aren't that big but photo below never the less.
Cheers,
Allan
those are so pretty...
I think those are the same ones my mother grew once upon
a time that were deep purplish blue, hanging from an arched
trellis... if those even come in that color... they look like
what she had once upon a time...
but those aren't the ones I was referring to as the 3ft. tall
round ball flowers on a stalk... (maybe they are onion flowers
as lee suggested - I'll hunt for a picture - unless you have one...)

Bel - here is one of my passions. Plants. When I need to get away from it all, or just need time to think things through one thing I always do is grab some pots, potting soil, seeds or clippings and head out side. I have more passions that I'll share in the morning But this is definetely one of them.
My best,
Gary
not to worry... I love plants too...
I wish I had a greenhouse...
does anyone here have a greenhouse ??
I like all sorts of plants...
I don't know why but lately I enjoy a dish with a variety
of cactus and small gravel in a zen like smooth pattern
with a tiny rake... it's soothing to gently move the top layer
around ... originally it was just a large shallow pot bottom
with fine fine sand and a mini itty bitty rake for the swirling
and manipulating the sand into patterns... then cactus was added...
I should have put them in something else... I miss having JUST
my zen dish... it was sitting on a short bookcase with a water
fountain next to it... love the sound of water dripping from rocks...

now that you mention it - it did take my moms more then 2 years...Originally posted by Bec
It was a bulb... and probably in an area a little too shady, so I was getting some green but no flowers til like the 3rd year after I'd planted it. Each year now I get a lot more flowers so it's doing fine.
I think it was 3 years... she was living in Virginia Beach, Virginia
at the time...

My passions are the internet, travelling abroad, history, foreign languages (as I speak 5 other) and sex, of course Sometimes, politics as well
My site is messed up too, luckily the library here has a HUGE sci-fi/fantasy/horror section in Large Print. You should check that out, the books are bigger, but much easier to read. By the way, I loved your Liberty kissing Justice Avatar.Originally posted by Bec
Getting back to the thread topic ... I had to think on this a bit first. Things I know I'm passionate about:
4. Reading ... especially sci/fi fantasy! Although with poor eyesite now it's getting harder to read a regular paperback book.
I've got it bell, it was probably an agapanthus.
See Pic:
Cheers,
Allan
Music, that is my passion, and my family of course! :baby:
Who said I don't have one?? LOL I'll try to remember to grab a few shots of them this year.I wish you had a digital camera... I'd love to see your flowers...
Yea, I've thought about doing that ... just seems there's no time to go to the library and check into it! I find it much easier to read here on line on my big screen.Originally posted by DigitalJay

Glad you liked the avatar, I'll probably switch between the me and it avatar when I get that urge to move the furniture around in the living room again!
Eeek...so that great big 24 year old tree in my neighbor's yard that is taller than her house is a WEED? Pretty wierd...I guess it dosn't spread here, because there are only a few of them around, but they are covered with beautiful Magenta flowers that look like little feather dusters and they smell like passion fruit, so weed or not I really like them. Sorry they are such a pain in the ass in Australia, land of the creepiest creepies and crawlies..and hottest guys on earthOriginally posted by ozmalegalleries

Sorry but I hate Mimosa
it is an environmental weed in Aus.
Cheers,
Allan
What can I say but thanks for the compliment - we aussies know we're hot. We forgive you for the weeds that turn up in Australian and choke our natural habitats and we're sending snails to you in return!:p
It probably isn't a weed in the US, just watch it though, with all the climate change you might just have a problem on your hands.
Cheers,
Allan
Should I be worried that I've thought a couple times about what my answer in this thread would be and haven't yet been able to come up with anything conclusive?
