I didn't start this post, I was simply giving my answer to the question posed. You do realize that there was a question asked, right?

That's all well and good, but you also made blanket assertions that several people simply offered up dispute to.

For example, your definitions of gay/bi/straight, along with your attempting to say that your own personal experience dictates what can and can not be said about anyone else.

Spirited debates are well and good, but don't assume that because someone's disagreeing with you, it's an attack on you personally and not an argument with the points you made.

hammer, you don't state your opinion AS opinion - you state it as fact. when asked to back up that opinion with something, you state it again much more strongly. if i did this in my college or high school debate classes, i would have lost and failed. you have to have more than one thing to say in order for you are doing to be debate.

read any required textbook for human sexuality or psychology 101 and you will see a different opinion from yours - from many qualified and mostly straight professionals in these fields.

it seems to me your opinion on this subject is only based on what you want to believe. so far, you have failed to state one thing that might convince another person to consider your point of view - which is what debate is.

you seem like a pretty homophobic guy - and i can't figure out why you'd want to post on what is generally a very friendly GAY community board.

Patti, in all honesty i dont htink this is just something that applies to Hammer, generalizing a lot (i know, i know ) many of the straight webmasters who dont actively promote the gay market think along the same lines as what has been mentioned above.

Of course thankfully a few of these webmasters are learning that this isnt always the case and they are becoming more 'accepting' on what is and isnt possible not only from the profit potential of the gay marketplace but also that whilst many of them assumed looking at 'gay' content would in fact make them gay just doesnt happen

US? Who the heck is 'us' Basschick? Are you a gay man? I guess the 'chick' part threw me off.

I work in the gay side of this business and thought it made sense to post on a gay board, but I have no desire to make everyone feel uncomfortable. However, I have no desire to change who I am either, so I'll just leave you to your little cloistered clique and move on. Go read my posts on any of the other boards and you'll realize this is who I am and has nothing to do with any of you or gays at all.

I never see any of you posting on any other boards (except for Lee) because you'd rather find a little safe haven to huddle in instead of grabbing your balls and heading out into the real world. (Yeah, I know Basschick, you don't have any balls, hence my confusion at the 'us' comment.)

Same as the conventions. I always see you in your little groups and going to your own parties instead of acting like you're part of a big group. In my experience, adult webmasters are much more tolerant than the general public.

As for the ridiculous homophobe comment... OMG you crack me up. You base your opinion of me on comments I make to stir up some discussion and obviously don't know a thing about me.

1. I work closely with the folks at Badpuppy and design and market gay pay sites that are built in association with them. Ask Lisa or Bill if they think I'm a homphobe.

2. The cohost on my radio show The Porn Professors is Tony D and he's gay. Ask him if he thinks I'm a homophobe.

3. I am a strong proponent of gay marriage and gay rights.

I like to fuck with people and push their buttons to get reactions. I don't care if I win or lose an argument as long as the people that listen to or read the discussion learn something, and apparently to your dismay, I go about bringing awareness to an issue in a different way than most. I believe that controvercy is a good thing and the best way to change people's opinions is to kick the shit out of it until someone gets it.

I dont' have a thing in the world against gays and have stated many times that I don't think of people in terms of gay or straight (or bi), black or white, pretty or ugly, skinny or fat, Christian or Jew, I think of people as people. If I dislike someone it has nothing to do with their religion, their politics, their skin color or their looks. When I post on this board or any other, I'm talking as one human to other humans. The problem with many of you is that you are so used to being persecuted by straight men that you automatically assume that when a straight man comes here and speaks his mind that he's bashing you.

The fact of the matter is that if you go back and read any of the things I've said on this board and imagine Don Ounique or AndyMike saying them, you would see the sarcasm and the humor and laugh or think. Instead, you see read them as coming from a straight homophobe and miss the whole point. I'd say the problems any of you have with my posts lie within yourselves and not me.
