    WTF? Welcome to Fighting Piracy!

Hi Guys! We can all thank Luke for creating this forum.

I'd like to take some time to explain this part of GayWideWebmasters....

Do you get completely pissed off when you see your stolen videos on the internet? I know I do!

We have been combating piracy for the last few years. We feel that we need to take more action against these brutal wallet thieving piraters and bring the money back into the industry! We are taking a stand!

About 2 months ago, we started fighting piracy hard up until we sent a DMCA to a guy based out of Nevada who has assets who he and his business partner owns and operates about 10 illegal tube sites. I sent the DMCA. My reply back was, "Fuck Off Loser!" I ignored the guy. 3 days later the video was taken down. The guy didn't just remove the videos but he retaliated against me. He put out a video requesting it's site consumers to boycott us, he even put out a PSA on his site offering to refund his site consumers to join our site, steal everything, put it up on his site. What a jerk huh? We started seeing our videos sprawled all over his tube and across his others.
We instantly knew we had to bring a law firm involved. So we did. In order to do anything drastic to shut this guy down, it was going to cost us between $15,000 to $25,000. LIKE WE CAN AFFORD THAT!
We had to back down. We had to back away from this content thieving creep. Do you know how that feels? The feeling is horrifying, you feel as if you've lost everyone, it's a very depressing feeling.

That's when we decided to give it more of a fight. We're sick and tired of these bastards stealing ours and everyone else's hard work. We have to do something NOW! We feel we cannot procrastinate another minute!

We have had meeting after meeting for the past week and a half and out of about 25 individuals, we have all came together to the same conclusion...

The "Old School" Citizens are starting to "die off." The baby boomer era has developed. These are the ones who are contributing to piracy whether they are the piraters or they are supporting the piraters by watching their content or even downloading it. These guys range from 18 years old all the way to 40-50yo.

IF we don't do something fast as an industry in whole, the industry is going to become a ghost town. The baby boomer era will continue to pirate. As everyone knows it's becoming a detrimental issue. And the piraters are winning!

With all of this said, we have teamed with Sebastian's Studios, INC. to combat piracy hard. We have brought in an individual who worked as a "hacker" for a financial institution. His position entailed him making attempts to hack into their systems for better security. His name is Jason Rockwell, and he started this past Monday to only sit 8 hours a day 5 days a week, find sites who are pirating content and compile all of the content into one place to share with content producers / site owners.

We are launching CombatPiracyNow.com this week. The sites main purpose is 2 reasons:
    a) Consumers to report piracy and get rewarded for it.
    b) The gay adult industry to submit sites who are stealing content and for the industry to check sites where their content is.

I'm sure EVERYONE wastes at least 2-3 hours per week sending DMCA's, hunting down content, etc.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! WE CAN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE ALONE! WE DON'T WANT MONEY! WE WANT OUR INDUSTRY BACK!

The site we are creating features are:
    - Consumers / Industry Workers can submit stolen content.
    - As we find content, you will automatically be alerted via email if you have enrolled with us. (Enrolling is easy, send us an email, read below). The emails you will receive will give you direct links straight to the pirated video(s).
    - Tutorials; How to send a DMCA, how to copyright your videos, how to protect your content. (We will also add tutorials to this forum as well).
    - As we list infringing sites, we will display the following:
Who's stolen content (sorted by website / studio)
WhoIs Information for the infringing site including host, credit card processor, etc.
    - Blocking of consumers access. The "Industry Area" will be password protected. We will issue everyone in the industry access to join us.
    - FREE FREE FREE FREE! We will have an area on the site asking for donations, but there are no restricted access for you. EVERYONE receives full access for FREE without any form of donations. We do not even get any kickbacks. WE WANT THE WHOLE GAY INDUSTRY TO JOIN US IN OUR BATTLE! PLEASE! WE CANNOT TAKE PIRACY ANY LONGER! If you don't care.... Bye bye, have fun going out of business!

Let me ask you this, why would a consumer want to pay for your videos whether it's DVD, VOD, Paysite, etc. when they can go to a site and watch it for free? YOUR LOSING MONEY!

I don't mean to sound like an asshole, that's far from my intentions. I cannot stress how serious piracy is!

We used to sit here and spend Saturday's and Sunday's hunting pirated videos. As we came across the obvious sites stealing content and seen other producers content (Sean Cody for example) we would email them direct links. Well, that takes time. So we're creating a backend solution to the site to where we can add it to one area, the site will send you an auto-email to inform you of your stolen content, direct link, etc.

We are working with PornGuardian and the Free Speech Coalition's APAP Program as a referral. IF you are a FSC member, you gain complimentary access to the FSC's Anti-Piracy Action Program, and free complimentary access to PornGuardian. For more information please contact Diane Duke at the Free Speech Coalition. She's a wonderful brilliant person! She's on our side!

If you've read this far and you haven't ever produced a video but you own a paysite which you purchase content from brokers such as Adult Sex Content... YOU CAN FIGHT PIRACY TOO!
If you watermark your videos with either your site URL, a logo, etc. You can send these pirate sites DMCA's too!

Our goal is to get the gay side of the industry involved. If we can harass these piraters, eventually their hosts, torrent sites, billing, etc. will shut them off. We shut one down Monday who hosted through Godaddy. The site had 10,000 active consumers. That's 10,000 individuals who had to go elsewhere to another site. They're habitual! If we can shut down 1 site at a time, we can make a big affect against piracy.

We were going to offer auto-DMCA's to these sites. However, we're small. You can send them, or we can refer you to Pornguardian's Industry Guardian and they can do it for you.
We have a meeting this week with them to discuss this further.

So this is what we're up to. Pornguardian, FSC, APAP, US - we can all only do so much. The internet is huge. Piraters are everywhere. No one person can locate every single site. This is why we are asking for EVERYONE'S support. The more sites we can locate stolen content. The better we can take the industry back into our hands and make it harder for consumers to continue the cycle of getting free.

This is free. We're not asking for money. We're only asking everyone to take 5 minutes and send us your links, join us in our grueling battle to hunt down and locate as many pirated sites / videos as possible and nip them in the bud.

Do you know of a site that has stolen pirated videos on it but your stuff isn't there? Maybe nobody else does! REPORT THEM TO US! GET IT OUT THERE! Let's attack these guys!

We have our combat boots on and we're ready for a long haul. We'd like you to join our army fleet and help us.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, suggestions, etc. Please... I'm all ears. We're all ears.

You can email us directly at: piracy (at) amadvideos.com.
Luke was kind enough to create this thread for us. Feel free to post here. HOWEVER, if your reporting a site here, please please please remove the linking. Break up the URL string. We don't want to help them with SEO.

I look forward to working with each and all of you. Just by you reading this is great support for us!

We will be updating everyone through this forum on our progress, losses, etc. We're very upfront, we don't beat around the bush, and we want YOU to know what we're up to!

    Thanks!

That's awesome! Piracy has to be stopped. People have such a feeling of entitlement these days. I swear some people think that porn come out of some magical porn well and we just capture it and keep it from them. I'm sure there are many more who just don't give a shit that they're stealing from us. But the justification that they should just be allowed to have whatever it is they want for free just boggles my mind.

    Piracy will never be stopped.

Now the saying is 3 things in life are inevitable. Death, Taxes and Piracy.

Piracy started on the roads went to the high seas and now is on the net.

Nothing you can do will stop them.

You shut down one guy and he will get a new domain on new hosting and start all over.

The only thing you can do is beat them. And thats not going to be as easy as it sounds.

I have DMCA Mondays where thats about all that I do for the day. I also go back and check to make sure the things came down and then go and check to see what was "ReUpped"

We will hardly make a dent in any of this until we can get the hosts and the ISP's to assist us and right now most of them are not willing. I have sent message after message to the hosts and the domain regristrars and I get either the same reply or no reply at all.

You can certainly pay an attorney to put his name on the DMCA and then you can pay him to file papers in court and then you can pay him to try and collect if an judgment is given.

Then you can file against the SAME guy on another domain and host and pay the attorney some more. the only one winning is the attorney and the owner of the site that steals your content.

I have actually started to think that maybe trying to stop them is a waste and that we should find ways to work with them and profit from them instead.

I'd like you to take a minute and talk to Dominic at Porn Guardian. They are having a lot of success. They are making a dent. We send them just a direct link of where our pirated content is, the content is removed from file share sites and others within a matter of a couple hours. Tell them your pornguy on gww, he'll help you. Just take a minute, it won't hurt. His email is dominic (at) pornguardian.com

Hello and congrats on your new endeavor!

As an affiliate I have a question...

I was just talking to Luke about being an affiliate and creating a "Tube" site. Luke, and his three programs (Hunkmoney, Britishbucks and Latinobucks), is the only sponsor I use right now. (I'm on disability here in the states and he doesn't have to report to the IRS, not that I'm making any money, LOL).

Due to the fact that he has a limited amount of video clips, I asked him about embedding from other tube sites, such as TNA and EmpFlixxx which purchase their content.

Now the question...any thoughts from the industry pros on how an affiliate can populate their own tube sites with legal content?

I know I could buy some, but if I had that kind of money laying about I would make candles, yes candles damn it!LOL!

This is my suggestion, only a suggestion for you to protect yourself...

Why don't you create your site on "embed only" which means you do not host the videos but embedding them.

What some are doing to build up traffic as an affiliate, they're embedding sponsor videos from Gaytube, RocketTube, and XTube.
Beneath the video, they are putting a banner to the sponsor site the videos belong to, linking it through the URL. At the bottom of each page, they are putting a statement that states "Videos courtesy of <site name> and linking that as a direct link to the site.

I would suggest going this route rather than what your doing. The reason I'm making this suggestion is because what if you embed a "bad video." Then your held liable as well because your site is hosting the video as well.

Just my thoughts, and I think that would help you a lot more going this route. We're even doing it this route.

    PFLJayden...

It just so happens that the script I purchased is for an "Embed Only" site, so your suggestion is a great one. I wasn't aware that there were major sites doing just the embed thing.

I will definitely go this route!

*If there's anyone reading this who has a tube site like the ones mentioned above, please post them so I know who the legit folks are - thanks*

Fighting piracy is an ongoing, mind-numbing, thankless process. It takes lots and lots of time but you can eventually make a difference. Our clients have seen a significant decrease in the piracy of their copyrighted content.

We've already worked out a deal with HUGE tubes of Manwin's tube sites. Over 200 videos have already been removed and we're working with them hands on It's not an impact, but it's a start There's millions of pirate sites on the net. With the fight of piracy, we can attack one at a time
