    Does barebacking make the difference??

Another interesting discussion I thought I would bring to the board is how people feel about bareback sex! I was talking with some people who scouting for cobra and other bareback studios and I was also talking with people who do scouting , marketing etc.. with safe sex studios!! The funny thing is... People say that bareback sex it alot more profitable and people seem to like it more...(cause it kinda pushes the limits and make the porn more raw!) But I really dont find that it makes a difference! Plus Im all about safe sex anyway

what do you think and how do you feel! It would be nice to see what you guys have to say .. seeming Im planning on shooting my own content soon and I would really like to hear my friends and people I dont know thoughts on this.. and I know alot of people will say it depends on how good your marketing is etc.. But I want to know just in general how it plays a part or if it makes a difference at all!

here's a rather long and heated discussion on this very topic:

btw, since you're also in califonia, i'd advise you to talk to a local adult industry attorney. i'm sure i mention it in that thread, but california put a very hefty fine against ttboy's studio for endangering the talent by shooting barefack.

Well I have one.. and I have no plans on shooting bareback at all.. I would never put a model in danger of anything and I would never wanna see anyone get hurt!!! SAFETY IS MY NUMBER ONE RULE!! I was just wondering and that sucks that I missed out on that conversation I would have loved to be a part of it !!

you can post on the thread - this is a board. i've seen two year old threads come to life when someone found it in the search and had an opinion.

Bottom line... It sells better, but there are people who believe it promotes unhealthy behavior to those who watch it. That is certainly debatable, just like the theory that video games drive kids towards violence.

Model safety is an issue in certain cases. A bareback production does not put two boyfriends at risk who already bareback at home. However there are models who take a bareback job only because they need the extra money that is offered.

I am against offering incentives to bareback. If they want to do it, it's by their own uninfluenced choice.
I post here to whore this sig.

I agree with what you said completly actually .. I think you hit it right on the money everything you just said.. It is kinda how I look at the whole thing as well!! I dont practice bareback sex myself ( when it is casual )

If I was with a life partner someone I had been with for awhile then I would bareback but only on those circumstance for sure!

I think ADULTS which are the people who should be only watching porn! I think adults should take responsibility for there actions and be able to make decisions for thereselves and not blame it on porn! Saying that porn made me bareback and told me it was ok! That is ridiculous! If someone is well educated about HIV/STDS and there risks etc.. I dont really think that argument could be made you know?!?! I hope I didnt say thing wrong LOL

I know a lot of gay couples fucking bareback are boyfriends, but also I see gay orgies fucking bareback, this is a high risk not only for HIV, also for all STD.

but, why is normal in straight porn fucking bareback?
    the risk is the same.

Hear hear! I completely agree with this opinion.

Personally, I enjoy watching bareback porn. I think it's very hot. It is sex the way that sex is MEANT to be had. There's nothing hotter than having sex that is completely free from constrictions and totally uninhibited.

That said, I do feel that bareback porn companies should do everything in their power to educate people on the risks in having unprotected sex. I think they should do more than just have text scroll up their screens in the beginnings of their movies. I think they should film really interesting, hot PSAs that could be shown right before the movie starts. Something with quick editing and which is entertaining, something people may actually watch.

However, in the end, like ALL porn (yeah, even the stuff that I find to be potentially harmful to the gay community), the responsibility lies upon the viewer to make the safest choices. It's not OK to blame your actions on a porn movie. I fully believe in the survival of the fittest. If you make the CHOICE to participate in unprotected sex, then you must face whatever consequences are coming to you. That's called taking responsibility for your actions and your choices. Gay men today are educated enough to know the risks. Even kids from small towns today know that unprotected sex may lead to HIV infection.

"Porn made me do it" is not an adequate excuse in my eyes. Just like people who smoke have no right to sue cigarette companies if they get cancer.

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

True however, it DOES put the production studio at risk.
