    Flash in Paysite tours?

Has anyone seen good examples of flash being used successfully in paysite tours?

If so, can you give me some examples?

    Thanks
    tom

I'm so amazed at the stupidity of the average-joe surfer. Lol. How do they ever get anything accomplished with their computers? These must be the same people from 10 years ago that could never figure out how to set the time on their VCRs.

I am going to begin experiments in flash tours in a few weeks with younger viewers, the way I look at it cant hurt to at least have that option, personally I like a little flash in a tour not all of course but 20-30% can look good. I know some naysayers are around, but I have learned a long time ago to try things for yourself, after all if the flash does not work with your viewers now in 2006 you can always change back to a more static version of the same site with out the flash activated. Do I think flash is best for all site NO not really, but I think its worth a try especially with younger viewers :kelly:

See this in just another reason I do not always take what people say to really be the truth http://www.extrabigdicks.com/html/index.html? If you look at this tour page of his you will see flash features. What I say is what I believe I know sometimes its not popular but I do not BS people, I know this might just be a over sight and he does not really know what’s in his own sites, but goes back to what I said, try things for yourself.

    Tom,

It's hit or miss. ALL Flash tours are not good. The BEST examples are where you use it for video insread of an animated gif. Even then there are problems. I mean the surfer may need to "latest" version. I know on my laptop, that I use for mainly travel and the occassional porn site, I don't have the latest version. And I get that dialogue box all the time.

From my ebay experiance and trying the "galleries", as I know you are familiar with, I had many people complain about not being able to see the other items.

I wish I could find some exaples where it's used effectively. If you find some, share them please.

I always try and remember one thing, the best customer is the one that just took a new computer out of the box and did a search and found your site and became a member. Priceless!!!

Also, something that hasnt been mentioned yet, with Microsoft losing a recent legal battle, Flash is going to start becoming a LOT harder for surfers to use, in some instances, surfers are going to need to click an extra couple of times to activate any flash navigation links.

Thats if they even have the Flash plugin installed which, a lot of surfers still dont.

    Regards,

    Lee

That is true flash is really bad at navigation systems, menus, or any time of interactive stuff, but it is good at short videos, and animation of certain things in a page. Even before this IE thing flash was not really good for navigation stuff. I just look at it as a way to give a little life to your page.
